For you're consideration is my dog Trim, and my, favorite vehicle. "ol Jack" is a 1954 Chevrolet 1 ton dump truck, that was first owned by the State of Montana Health and Wealfare Dept. He has just under 46,000 thousand miles which i believe to be actual, because they didnt use him a whole lot but alwasy kept him in running condition. I did all the body and paint inside and out myself, and the car guys in our area say its about a 6 to 7 out of 10. When ever Trim and I go for a ride people Look, yell, whistle, and give us thumbs up. ( Trim thinks he is a cool dog but its really "ol Jack" they look at ) The engine runs nice and smooth after warm up, and the brakes were redone just before i bought it. The dump bed works great and will lift about anything you want to haul, ( its about a 2 yard bed ) after paint all i have hauled is grass clippings. The vacume wiper motor doesnt work but i have another that seems to be ok, The dome light is not connected, The new rubber door seals have been not installed. And the worse thing is after new paint the wind blew a shingle off my shop right onto the hood, you can see it in one of the pictures, ( the pic makes it look much worse than it is, but still its bad enough). This truck would be great for advertising, or like myself its just a lot of fun to play with. This is an old truck and it drives like one, its not a cadilliac !
