The truck has an automatic transmission, and cloth interior in great shape. *It runs and drives great, in general, but it has a rough idle and an exhaust leak. *The rough idle could be from a number of things, including the exhaust leak (sounds like it's coming from the exhaust manifold). The fuel economy doesn't seem to be effected on the road/highway -- unless you do a lot of stop and go -- so I suspect (and it doesn't feel) like it misfires when it's on road. You can really feel when a 4-cylinder engine is missing. Could also be worn valves...listen closely to the sound of the starter in one of the videos. The check engine light is one and indicates "random misfiring." Maybe it's a sensor that's causing the misfire. I never paid for an analysis of what's wrong or investigated it myself; I just stopped by a parts store for them to tell me what the check engine code was. The treads on a couple of the tires are fairly worn and you can feel at least one shock absorber isn't doing its job, so plan on gettings new shocks. One of the tires makes a more or less audible waffling sound, which is probably caused by uneven wear resulting from the worn out shock. The transmission leaks a bit so plan on replacing seals at some point. The exterior is in great, glossy shape as demonstrated by the pictures. The interior is in great shape. There is bull's eye chip on the windshield that isn't growing. The air conditioning is cold. It shifts through every gear and reverse great. Doesn't leak any motor oil. Four wheel drive works fine...the previous owner told me he used it once in 100,000 miles, at a boat slip, so plenty of life left there. This is a great truck that will hold its value well. Includes an aftermarket CD Stereo with iPod input cable. There's a printable discussion format guide to install an early 80s MB 5-cyl turbodiesel in a Toyota 4x4 using an aluminum adapter plate you can cut with a jigsaw, fabricate some engine mounts, replace cooling fans to outside vs. inside of radiator, install a solenoid for engine cutoff, momentary contact for glow plugs, and you potentially have a $20,000 vehicle that's in super high demand. You can retain the cruise control, air conditioning and other accessories for perfection.
