My favorite model of all the Riviera's. The numbers-matching 425 cubic inch engine runs great and the dual 4bbl carbs provide plenty of GET UP & GO. It sounds fantastic. The clamshell headlights work like new since I put in a new motor. This was a daily driver when I purchased it 2 years ago. Since then, I've had the following work done: new master cylinder and brake shoes, new A/C and heater hoses, new battery, mufflers, shocks and tires, rebuilt the starter, alternator, transmission and water pump. Most of the wiring has been replaced. I replaced the carpet and recovered the front seats to look original. The driver's side seat is power operated. It has a new AM/FM/CD player installed in the glove box and a new power antenna. The old AM radio is still in the dash, but it does not operate. The clock doesn't work but it should be a relatively easy fix. Note the optional tissue dispenser under the glove box and the purse clip left of the glove box. It has the faux wood-grain steering wheel that I've seen listed on eBay for as high as $800. There's no evidence of body damage in its 45-year history. So here's a quick rundown ... 425 ci dual 4bbl carburetors newly rebuilt transmission, brakes, etc... new tires all power options work clamshell headlights work beautifully The main item remaining is to replace the windshield. It is cracked, but still passes the state inspection. The paint looks great from 10 feet but to be a show car you might consider repainting. There is the beginning of some rust underneath the vinyl roof and in the trunk pan. It now has new weatherstripping in the trunk. This car gets winks and nods and thumbs up every time I drive it. I have bought several other cars and no longer have space for this one. I hate to lose it, but time marches on. I've lowered the reserve since the last listing and if it doesn't get reached, I'll just have to rearrange some parking spaces. I've also listed this car locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time and remove the vehicle for sale. I will continue to enter the vehicle in local car shows because it brings so many smiles and memories to people. So if you're interested, don't waste time.
