1965 FORD GALAXIE 500 XL This 45 year old classic is ready to be restored. I purchased this car nine years ago with the intent of restoring it but have not had the time to even touch it. I towed this car from Arizona (as it does not run) but recommend that it be trailered as not sure how the current rubber will hold up on the road. It has a 390 cui engine, 4 bbl carb, auto transmission, power steering, power brakes, air condition and POWER WINDOWS (which is unusual) and 04399 miles on odometer but I am sure it exceeds the 100,000 mile mark. The glass in the vehicle is good with no cracks. There is evidence that someone had attempted the restoration process (prior to my purchasing it) as a lot of the trim has been removed and heavy evidence of sanding is present. Interior needs major restoring as well. I have a lot of extras that will be included whith the car such as new front and rear springs in original boxes, re-chromed front and rear bumpers, and an extra set of hub caps and a few miscellaneous parts. Windshield and rear window trims are present but not on vehicle. Spare tire rim and jack are present. There is an owners manual however it was not issued with this particular vehicle. There is some minor surface rust in bottom of trunk but is still in good condition other small spots of rust but seems to be just minor surface rust. To the best of my knowledge the vehicle has not be wrecked ther seems to be a tweek on the passenger side bumper area but it may be from jacking up the car as it is right in that area. The engine seems to be pretty much intact as I have not attempted to look extensively, the exhaust system H-pipe not attached to vehicle but is with car.
