Vehicle Detail

Very sharp low mileage '98 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab. Excellent condition. Purchased new in California and always kept clean and maintained. We've towed her behind our motorcoach [Roadmaster towing brackets for sale in seperate listing] for past five years but have now purchased a four-door vehicle which better meets our current needs. Stepside bed. Sliding rear window. Supercab. Air conditioning. AM/FM stereo. Alloy wheels. Power steering. Dual airbags. Five speed manual transmission. Includes pickup topper (camper shell) with roof racks and locking full-length swing-out side windows that provide easy access to contents inside. Check out my other items! On Jul-24-10 at 15:41:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Unicover (brand) topper is all aluminum with aluminum roof racks. Newly added photos: Retractable tonneau behind seats conceals contents (tools, groceries, etc.) stored beneath. Carpet and home-made storage racks are seen in photo of topper with side window opened, and are included with purchase. Photo of truck bed with carpet and racks removed shows clean, rust and dirt free interior. On Jul-24-10 at 16:20:51 PDT, seller added the following information: While cleaning the truck for photographing I discovered a spot on driver's side rear panel where paint has flaked off. Specifically, the flake is about an inch and a half long and is located a couple of inches from the rear bumper and down under the curve of the bottom lip of the panel (see new photo). The missing flake of paint reveals not metal, but what appears to be body filling or something. As I indicated in the original listing, we are the original owner and we bought the truck new from the Ford dealer. We have never had an accident of any kind and have never had any body work done on it. The only possible explanation that I can imagine at this point is that the truck received minor damage in transit from the factory to the dealer and was subsequently repaired in thier shop (and not disclosed to the new owner!). The repair work, however, seems to be very good, as I never noticed it until now when the spot of paint flaked off. There is no detectable difference in color from surrounding area.
