Vehicle Detail

Very clean 1966 Valiant 2 dr sedan. We bought it from the original owner about 5 years ago. The car has been garage kept most of it's life. The entire body is rust free. The only body filler on the car was to repair a small dent in quarter panel that happened during storage since I bought the car. The door seals leaked allowing some rust to form in the drivers floor pan. This required a patch of about 10" sq to repair. It was welded in and seam sealed as it should. The mileage is is correct and the car runs like it did in 1966. I bought the car when my granddaugther was 11 and saved it for her until she got her drivers license. After restoring it mechanically and repainting it dark blue, like she requested, she was ready to drive. The first time her Mom rode with her and found out that her car didn't have an airbag and anti-lock brakes she said NO to the car and refused to allow her to drive it. This is a true story. The motor and transmission work great with no problems at all. I did put a new distributor in it while converting it to electronic ignition. The charging system was converted to electronic and that required a new duel field alternator. Transmission was serviced and adjusted (didn't really require any adjustment but was checked anyway. New water pump was installed along with new hoses and belts. New BF Goodrich radial tires (185-13) along with new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, & complete brake line set. The gas tank was removed and cleaned as was the radiator. There are no leaks anywhere. The front windshield and rubber seal were replaced because the old one had become cloudy around the edges. Entire car was repainted Navy blue to match the interior. New dark blue matching carpet was installed to replace the old rubber carpet. A new Alpine CD/AM/FM player was installed under the dash with a hidden antenna under the dash. The original radio delete plate is still in place. The car has manual steering. All the trim/chrome is very nice. New door seals were installed and the headliner is perfect. This car was built to be driven and it shows very nice. It can be driven anywhere, no worry about shipping - just come get it and drive it home. The starting bid is the actual value that I have in the car and will not be lowered. No need to ask what the reserve is, if you bid the starting bid it will sell. No trades (I can't put that in her college fund). Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early unless the starting bid is met. $500 deposit with PayPal within two days of auction end and the balance in cash when the car is picked up. If you want the car shipped then it will be your responsiblity ( I will help with loading ) and all funds must be cleared before the car will be shipped or released. No funny deals!!!! Ask questions if in doubt. E-mail through E-Bay is the best way to get answers quickly. Thanks and good luck.
