Vehicle Detail

1969 Nova SS 396 (could easily be a real 375 hp L78 car) Im confident its a True Big Block SS car from its history and obvious signs ie: BB heater core, Bolt on upper A arm bump stops, oil sending unit wire thicker then sm cars, and more..) Some telltale signs for the L78 option are: single 3/8" fuel line for starters, not likely changed. Original 4 spd car big block Nova 1st owner had the car from 69-73 in Co. 2nd owner blew up the 396 in 75, in its place he installed a small block CE GM motor with solid lifter cam, double hump heads, GM factory aluminum intake. It was suppose to come out of a 70 Z28. Car runs and drives great !! Carb may need some adjusting, but it scoots and fun to bang some gears !~ Bench seat 4 spd car too, although the factory shifter has been replaced with an old school Mr Gasket V-Gate Inline shifter is bolted to the Muncie transmission. Correct date coded 12 bolt 3:73 rearend and Big Block crossmember. Original color was Butternut Yellow with black interior. Would be an easy restoration. Drive around as is or restore it to its original glory, or somewhere in between. You can never go wrong with a factory Big Block car ! The current blue was done in the late 70s. The car spent its first few years in Co, but has been in Az since 74 aprox. The only rust I could find was above the rear wheelwells and some in the lower rear quarters. Its very little actually. Ive been all over and Under the car, and have pics to below to prove our claims. Check out ALL the pics below and you can see for yourself. A survivor of sorts with some cool ol Hot Rod stuff added on. Pass side window okay, but regulator bad non functional. Wouldnt take a whole lot to restore as a fun driver or show car. Az sun has been hard on the paint and interior but not on the sheetmetal. Has had some body work done I believe to various areas over the years. Obviously this is not a restored car. A VERY RARE AND HARD TO FIND NOVA SS We really try to have realistic reserves on all of our auctions and want to sell cars, not sit on them for another year. LOTS OF PICS, it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient. This is a great car to restore and would do so nicely. It needs interior, paint and probably some suspension work but it is an example of a era long gone. Remember: they arent making anymore :) My take is this has been in Az its whole life. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain. The more you go over this car, the cooler it gets ! Check out All the pics and then look for more info AFTER the pics etc. There are over 100, make sure you use the schroll bar on the side to see them all. Personally, Id redo the exhaust, remove the horrid mirrors, air shocks and shackles etc... IF you eventually put a correct 396 back in it you know the motor thats currently in it would sell very well ! If you treat yourself to buying one of our cars even one this rough, youll never buy a rust bucket again from anyone !! Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on. So there you have it, the pics show very well what to expect. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. Clear AZ TITLE in hand. CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 15 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !!
