Offered for bids is a 1998 S-10 with 72,034 original miles. The truck has air conditioning and a Sony CD player with MP3 inputs. The heater and AC work great. The current inspection is valid through November 2010. It needs some mechanical work: a new exhaust pipe, catalytic converter, and transmission. Right now there is a temporary exhaust connection. My mechanic says he thinks the transmission overheated and melted the converter and he was just going to do the pipe at the same time. I'm a college student and can't afford to have the work done right now, but if you can, or if you're into doing it yourself, this truck has a lot of life left in it. The body has a few dings, and the rear bumper is slightly askew. Rust in the usual places, but not a lot of it. There is also some paint transfer left over from the older lady I bought it from. I never bothered, but it looks like it could be rubbed out pretty easily. The interior is in decent general condition for its age. Tires are in good shape. I'd be glad to show this to you and you're welcome to bring your mechanic along to inspect it. Kelley Blue Book lists a private-party value of $2,910-$3,435 for this S-10.
