This is my 1948 Packard Deluxe Eight 4dr Touring Sedan. I bought this car a couple years ago to learn about these older cars since that's what my father spent his life on and I never got to know him. I've learned what I wanted to so now it's time to let it go. The car starts , runs and drives. Has 288 straight-8 engine. Everything works except the fuel guage. It needs paint and interior work. Appears to have been repainted a couple times, but no holes or dents in the body or floor. Trunk and door weatherstrip has all been replaced. I've rebuilt the fuel pump, master cylinder, all 4 wheel cylinders, starter, and the generator. Had a fresh tuneup 1000 miles ago and a new voltage regulator. The tires were also replaced at this time. All fluids have been changed regularly. I've been driving it to work about once a week to keep everything in running order. I just have way too many cars and I'm simplifying my fleet. Engine runs great, no knocks. Small amount of smoke if left idling a long time. Trans shifts nice. All handbrake cables are good. Radio and heater work great, as do all the lights. The top cover of the air cleaner was missing when I bought the car and I never found one, so I made one without damaging the original parts. The original jack is missing. Furthest I've driven the car is about 20 miles. I have a small amount of spare parts which I will include with the car. No zero feedback bidders since I've had enough aggravation. I'm also no longer accepting cashier's checks due to a attempted fake check recently. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
