Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my pride and joy 1989 Camaro RS. I owned the car for about 5 years now and comes from a smoke free environment . I never drove it in the snow or rain. The body has 89492 miles on it.THe car was originally a 305 TBI but i purchased a 350 block and had it professionally built. Installed is a ProCharger P1SC and intercooler. I'm pushing about 7 pounds of boost. When it i had it on the dyno it put down 342 HP at the wheels and 426 lbs of torque. This car has potential for a lot more HP if the the TPI is swapped out with an intake that will let her breathe more. The 350 engine was professionally built by Victory Engines in Cleveland Ohio and the 700-R4 Transmission was rebuilt by Janis Transmissions in the Akron/Canton area. The engine and transmission only have about 5000 miles them. Also installed on the car is an OBD II operating system. The wiring harness was made by eficonnections.com. Therefore, it has the crab style distributor, knock sensor etc and there's no shoddy wiring. The car runs flawlessly, it fires right up, does not blow any smoke. The car never runs hot. I would drive the car anywhere. The power hatch, windows, and locks work just fine. The car does NOT have AC, nor does it have heat. The heat can be fixed, a few years ago the heater core gave out and instead of fixing it i capped of the ports and removed the hoses for a cleaner look under the hood. I installed new weather stripping on the doors, hatch, and t-tops. However the t-tops still leak..I was told that the tilt of the windows on the door may need to be adjusted. The body has no rust on the outter shell. The drivers side real wheel well had a small rust hole. I bondo meshed it and POR 15 the hole 4 years ago and havent had a problem with it. I posted a picture. All the fenders are straight. There is one stratch on the pillar right by the passenger door, and i posted a picture of it. There are some spider cracks on the bumper and some on the front spoiler but they are not real noticable. The paint is real shiney and no clear coat is peeling, but i think the car was repainted at one time. The car has a lot of swirl marks in it, on a overcast day you cant see them at all. i had the car buffed out professionally a few years ago and it looked pretty good. It's a solid car, i won a couple of shows with it. its definitely a head turner. The only thing the car really needs is an after martket torque converter lockup kit. I think you can get one from summit racing for 80 bucks. In the mean time, a toggle switch is installed under the dash to lock and unlock the torque converter on the freeway. No short cuts were taken with this car. I would love to keep it but i no longer have the time to drive it or a place to permenantly store it. I have maintained the receipts for just about everything. With the supercharger, the car did not pass ohio emissions testing, i had to purchase collector plates to keep it on the road.
