This bike was kept inside a barn in Kentucky for over 30 years. I brought it to Cincinnati over Fourth of July weekend where we went and visited family in KY, because I wanted to restore it here to ride it, but after speaking with the partner I have here who knows about restoring motorcycles, I quickly realized it's more than I want to take on, just to ride around for recreation. I just wanted to have a mechanic do the work on it, and get the motorcycle ridable for me, but since this bike is 40 years old, to restore it is more than I want to do, just to get myself a running motorcycle. It's an antique, and now I'm not interested in keeping it. I have realized though, it is valuable to someone looking to restore it to original condition, because it's worth a lot restored, or use it to have all the many parts that this bike has, on a bike in process of original restoration. It is perfect as a project to restore this bike, if they want it original, because it's a collectible motorcycle. It has all the parts listed in the photos taken today, prior to posting this ad, and since there are too many parts to name, and since only the restoration project (the interested buyer) will know are those which they still need. I know very little, but feel free to ask any questions, and I'll tell you what I can find out for you and get back to you with your question's answer, the best I can. The bike doesn't run as it is, but it could run if you want to restore it or have the know-how. It only has 8,080 original miles. I am honest, and I will tell you what I know it needs. It is missing a chain, the metal kick-starter (just the metal external kick-start part), missing the foot shifter (again just the metal part itself) and one hand brake handle. All the other parts exist and the engine and transmission appears to be good still. The carb needs to be rebuilt as one would assume (he said), but it is as it was when it ran, and was put inside, and all the rest can be suited to use as parts, or you definitely could rebuild this bike if you want. I would like to see it get a nice home with someone who appreciates it, since it was my Aunt's first bike. She got it brand new when she turned 17, from M and D, and still loves it dearly, but as a grandmother now, though she doesn't ride anymore, she still loves it like her first baby, and she gave it to me because she would love to see it ride again! Please feel free to email me any questions, and again as an honest person, I may have to say I don't know, but I will try to find the answer for you both/either from the only owner of the bike (my Aunt), or from my mechanic (for a technical question), if I can. Since again I don't restore motorcycles, I really "took on" the bike, because I wanted a bike I could Ride, BUT If the buyer Does restore motorcycles or HAS A MOTORCYCLE that runs, I would be more than excited to work out a trade (plus or minus money but looking for even value) for a motorcycle/dirtbike/moped/4wheeler etc etc to make some type of a trade, especially if the buyer's bike runs, or can be repaired for less than 300 dollars. PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! Please inquire if you have something in mind, because besides her approval in my intentions, that is what I wanted from the idea, and permission, a running motorcycle of any kind.
