Vehicle Detail

1970 Porsche 914 / 4 This 1970 Porsche 914/4 is a beautiful example of the early 914 cars. Below are some of the specs and details about the car. There is a large amount of receipts for maintenance, etc. that show the history of the car that will be included in the sale but have not all been recorded here (there's too much). Feel free to call 763.647.9454 for much more info and to schedule a look in person. Body/ Exterior: The paint is only 1 year old, glossy and makes the car stand out in any crowd Bumpers were painted the way they came in 1970- in a matte black Stock front valance Stock rear valance (has a small dent) Engine lid needs hinge adjustment. Solid car with no structural rust- there is a small amount on the battery tray itself. Brand new tires with less than 100 miles on them. Both a painted Blue & a Factory black top are included in the sale. Engine: Factory 1.7L Factory Fuel Injection Fresh seals & rings Stainless Steel Heat Exchangers have been added Fresh tune up with new points & condensor, spark plugs & plug wires Replaced many fuel & vacuum lines, all 8 injector seals New battery & battery cables Transmission: Factory tail shifter tranny currently in car New clutch and clutch cable Shift linkage needs adjustment- currently it won't find 1st gear. Still very drivable though.. A second Side Shift (later model) 5 speed Transmission is included to upgrade to (these are easier to shift than the old tail shifters) Has the factory leather wrapped Porsche crest shift knob. Interior: Seats covered with a nice aftermarket check pattern that dresses up the interior Sun Visors are factory and have no rips or tears Very nice dash with only one less than 1" crack starting near the ash tray. New carpet Stock AM/FM stereo with the old pull out push knobs for "pre-set" stations! Stock speakers in stock location.! The car runs out great. The shift linkage needs attention as it will not find 1st gear- you can start in second and drive the car normally from there however. There are some typical electrical gremlins- the wipers do not work and the headlights work, but the normal bright power does not. They pop up fine, brights and fog lights both function normally, but the standard power beam does not. I have replaced the bulbs and the switch- so it's in the wiring between them. The tumblers for all the locks need to be keyed to one single key. I have a complete set of rebuilt door handles, tumblers and locks (every thing keyed on the ca) that is set to the same key- I'll include this for an additional $200. The emergency brake does not function at this time (needs adjusted is all- all parts are there). The car recently received all new brakes, calipers, and rotors and the braking system otherwise functions as it should. The heater is non-functional as it is missing parts. While this car is not entirely original it is very close and includes the original Owner's Manual, Tool Kit (very rare), headphone port for the factory radio (even more rare), jack, spare, and tons of history in records. This car also has the factory rear defrost option.. Please call or email me for additional information. This car is being sold as-is, where-is and is 40 years old. No warranty or guarantee available.
