While the car is gorgeous, has been well maintained, and NEVER been wrecked, it is NOT street safe at this time. I never abused this car, rallyed it, rodded it. etc. ever, It was my freeway cruiser to and from work for 10 years and it was maintained regularly. For whatever reason, the rear end unexpectedly "Let go" and a rebuild/repair is needed from the AWD transfer case all the way back through to the rear wheels. (The car is moveable for a short distance, front wheel drive is still funtioning) The shop estimate for the rebuild, and labor was $4,5000, thus the painful decision to place this rare bird up for sale to those with deeper pockets,and/ or the necessary parts and the know how to make her streetworthy again. I'm listing the car at 500$, about the money needed to pay for the teardown and inspection, and will need to insist that the purchaser facilitate p/u and delivery, per ebay policy. I'm willing to provide a direct link to my garage to those who express a serious interest if nore technical info is needed. Conditionwise the exterior is clean, no rust, no dents, a few rock chips. The wheels have new rubber with about 5,000 miles on them, and the rims still look nice, although the tire shop said some corrosion is apparent inside. Interior wise the car is pretty clean. The drivers seat has some wear along the door edge from repeated sliding into the seat, and there is a bubble forming under the vinyl in the arm scoop of the passenger side door panel. The car does include the 6 CD outboard player/changer module, and well as the security system, all in perfect order which was the top notch system option available at purchase time.
