2001 Toyota Highlander AWD(4WD) This is the best car I have ever owned. If i could throw a truck camper on it, i would. That is the reason i am selling it, I am getting a truck and camper and living the RV life for the next few years. It has run like a dream from the beginning. I regularly clean and maintain it - with it's major services every 30,000 or so being done as well. It is mechanically fantastic to the best of my knowledge. The only major part I've had to replace is the air fuel sensor, which was replaced earlier this year. It also has relatively new all season tires. I am the second owner, purchased at around 22,000 miles. The carfax may show the service records, showing it has been well cared for, with oil changes and services. It is All Wheel Drive, with a moon roof (sunroof with glass), electric driver-side adjusting seat, electric adjusting mirror, alarm, keyless entry, cd player, split back seat, tow package, power windows & cruise control. The seats are tan cloth (and kept covered most of the time i've had it), and it has floor carpets as well. I regularly wash it, still it has normal wear. The paint (although waxed ) has had normal pitting from the road on the hood (which over the years i keep touching up to keep it protected), and water spots & signs where i have waxed over tiny things through the years. I did back into a tree - so there is an indent (6 inches or so)on the back bumper, i got stuck on a mountain road for miles and drove through brush, which caused mostly surface scratches that have become less with each waxing, but a few a bit deeper, I scuffed the right front bumper, and a bicyclist skimmed by me as i was stopped and ripped off my front liscense plate. All can be seen in the pictures. Also, and i will add photos, the windshield has tiny rock chips (I think 3 or 4) that have been professionally filled. All but one has been there for over 6 years without cracking the windshield. The last was recently filled, and done in a way it can hardly even be seen. The windshield wipers are for snow, as I lived for some winters in the snow. I kept the undercarriage washed, I think they use something other than salt for the roads, and it had only one winter in Colorado where it barely saw the roads (and i think they avoid salt too). Tires are less than a year old, all season tires. It also has studded snow tires. It is just a wonderful car On the interior, I have allergies, thus kept the fabric seats covered and the car quite clean. It has been pet free (and even children free) in the years I have owned it, keeping it even a bit cleaner. As well I've dealt with germaphobia for many years. Still, keeping a car clean like new is difficult! It does have some dirt still. I have tried to show some of the imperfections in the interior. The photos show a mark on the dash, and small areas of the vinyl in the back rear door. On the front seats, i had them covered with vinyl and taped it down. There is still some visual residue from the tape, although I think I successfully removed the stickiness : ) It can be seen in the photo below. I realize I put the buy it now price quite low. This price is still much lower than it's worth. I just hope to find it a good home soon : ) It is mechanically & structurally excellent with only minor cosmetic issues.
