This auction is for a 1963-4 Austin Healey Sprite - MG Midget parts car. It is a non-roll up window Sprite. This is the 4th listing of this car. The last 3 "winners" expected to restore it. This is a PARTS CAR ! Restoring it would cost a lot of money, and wouldn't be worth it. Do not bid if you are thinking of restoring it !!! (unless you have more money than brains). The Good: It is 95% complete, missing only soft top, battery, and a couple of other small items. It comes with an extra yellow hood, as the one that is on it is rusted through at the nose. The windshield has no cracks. The front fenders are decent. The running gear is complete. All tires hold air. Doors are decent. Trunk decent. Extra stuff in trunk. The Bad: Rust in floors, and rear quarters. Frame rusty but not broken. Front brakes not attached to backing plates. Interior in poor shape, dashboard removed and gauges removed from dash, but are there. Seat frames useable. Drivers door needs lower hinge welding to car. The Unknown: Although the drivetrain is complete, will it be any good ? The car hasn't been run in over 15 years...at least. No working brakes. Mileage is unknown, 75,000 is an estimate. I want to sell this parts car complete. Do not ask for prices on individual items. If the car does not sell, it may be parted out or scrapped. There is no title, a bill of sale, as a parts car, will be given to the next owner. I require a $100 non refundable deposit through PayPal, regardless of the final price, within 48 hours of auction end. If sold locally, the auction will end without advance notice. The car is located in North Woodstock, New Hampshire. North Woodstock is about 2.5 hours north of Boston, 6 hours from New York City. It was in running condition according to the previous owner. The car was taken off the streets because of brake problems and electrical problems. However, it has been barn stored for about 15 years, so don't expect it to run initially. It may run, it may not. I am not going to try. I just want it to go away and find a new home.Also, two people have asked if it is restorable. Quite unlikely, however it is possible. Parts are no problem, mechanical knowledge, and time, would be the biggest obstacles. Do it yourself, it could be restored.
