1974 Other Makes

Nice '74 OSSA Mick Andrews Replica (MAR) trials bike.I've wanted one of these ever since they came out and found this one about five years ago needing a little TLC.Now that I've got it in nice,not perfect,condition I've decided it needs a new home.I'm thinning the herd.Here is what I can tell you about it.Frame painted.Engine top end tore down and checked out (great shape).While the cylinder was off,I felt the bottom end and it seems tight also.Forks gone through.New front tire.New throttle,front brake and clutch cables.New fenders and fender braces(OUCH$$$).Painted the tank and side panels (nice,not perfect).New kill switch.Tank lined with "RED KOTE".I'm sure I am missing some things.Bottom line:this is a very nice vintage MAR that is ready to ride.It starts first or second kick.Engine is nice and tight.The shocks could stand to be rebuilt or replaced.Rear tire is probably only 50%.No title.Listed mileage is there because I had to fill in the space,actual mileage is unknown.I can deliver to Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid Ohio next week or anywhere between Chattanooga and there(along I-75) free if the bike sells for the Buy-It-Now price.NOTE:I will leave Chattanooga,Tn. I am adding this in hopes that maybe it will show and help anyone who might want to utilize a BIN price.Sorry for any problem/confusion this might have caused.Thanks.SteveOn Jul-04-10 at 08:10:41 PDT, seller added the following information: After a closer look,the tag on the steering head reads ???/ '72,so I'm assuming this is a '72 or '73 instead of a '74.That said,I don't think there was a signicant difference in any of those.Also forgot to mention that I had the machine work done and the insert installed to repair/replace the worn threads in the exhaust port that most of these bikes suffered from.Total cost was about $80.
