No time for project "fun" car. Second owner within the same family. Father-in-law purchased the car from Hoffman Porsche-Audi in East Hartford CT in April 1983. Car has all records of service since new. He signed the car over to me in 2006 and I restored many aspects of the vehicle. Don't want to give the car away but realize that it was a labor of love not investment. Put about $12K into the vehicle not including the work that was done just prior to getting it including: Paint Job with origninal factory color of copenhagan blue, new Rims and Riken low profile 45 tires, rebuilt head, new radiator and cooling switch, new oil cooler, replaced AC and conterted to R134, new brake master cylinder, new clutch mater and slave cylinders. I also cleaned up the interior and added a Momo steering wheel, replaced the leather shift boot, put a dash cover (dash has normal cracks), and put in newer front seats. Replacments seats are electric but not hooked up as the origninal were manual. Just replaced the battery this spring (old one was 7 yrs old). Replaced the original stereo with a remote operated Kenwood desk with CD and replaced all speakers. Just prior to getting the car my father-in-law had many replacment parts done on schedule or as needed. These included Tie rod ends, sun roof seal, speedometer, dash lights, front struts, cam and crankshaft seats, timing belt tensioners and rollers, water pump. The speedometer was replaced at 98K and the new one reads just over 22K. Work was done at several locations across the US because he lived in different locations for the last 10 yrs. The car is in great shape. The paint job has some imperfections but nothing major. Interior has some minor fading normal for it's age but no major damage. The supports for the hatch and hood are worn and do not hold up the trunk lid or hood but that is an easy fix but not required. The rear view mirror is worn but functional. New rims and tires have about 10K on them. Car has an alarm operated by a key as well as the all the options with this model like electric windows, manual and removable sun roof, rear window wiper, sport suspention, floor mats. Also have a custom car cover. Have the old stock tires and rims as well as the original front seats in storage.
