I am listing this TD for my buddy Bob. Due to recent health problems, Bob has taken a look at a few things and decided to sell off some of his toys. This is one of his last. He held on to it the longest, probably because he just finished it not too long ago. He purchased it as an unfinished project and went about upgrading it and putting it all back together. This car is a ground up, body off the frame restoration. You could call it a nut and bolt restoration since every nut and bolt was removed to restore it. Now in perfect driving condition, this is your opportunity to pick up a nice TD that was restored to drive. You can show it if you like but it was not a concours restoration. It was restored to top condition to be driven. This car has taken several years to restore and 3 owners to do it. VEHICLE CONDITION BODY: No damage, all new paint. Nice chrome. Pictures say it all. Hard to do a black car but this one turned out nicely. INTERIOR: All new. Great shape. Upgrades were made and a stereo was added out of sight under the dash. The clock on the speedometer is the only thing not functional on the entire car. MECHANICAL: One of the previous owners did the engine rebuild, not sure of miles on it but not many. Upgraded fuse block for added electrical equipment such as the stereo. New Uniroyal radials all the way around including the spare. Car now changed to negative ground. TOP and SIDE CURTAINS: Top is new. Side curtains are older but very good shape, although tan. In summary, it is hard to find one of these cars that you can hop right in and drive. The remainder of the balance is due within 7 days of the auction end and is payable in the form of a cashiers check, USPS money order, or cash in person when the car is picked up (provided the car is picked up within the 7 day time frame from auction end). If you are picking up the car in person, cash in person is the required form of payment. Shipping: This is your responsibility. I will help with the loading of the car. Please bring your own ramps for your trailer, tie downs, etc. as none will be provided. If you are arranging shipping with a transport company, please be sure to tell them that all pickup arrangements must be made 24 hours in advance and the car must be picked up before 7 PM at the owners place of residence. Pickup of car: This must be done within 15 days of the auction end, unless prior arrangements have been made and I agree to them. Failure to pick up the car within this time frame will result in storage fees of $20 per day that must be paid before the car is released. Today, Friday, I was contacted by Automobile Inspections, LLC regarding a customer who had hired them to come and inspect the car. All they would tell me is that they were sending Mike from Olathe, KS to do the inspection. When Mike called to get the owners contact information, he refused to give his full name, his qualifications to be an inspector (whether he was a professional auto appraiser or whatever), who he worked for that would qualify him to be an inspector (other than Automobile Inspections, LLC that just hired him), etc. I have a responsibility to the owner of the car to weed out the scammers and the undesireable who may prey on an internet transaction such as this and when someone will not tell me the questions I ask, then they don't get to see the vehicle. I welcome inspections by qualified professional companies or individuals wanting to see the car. I will not, however, stoop to being bullied into divulging any contact information to anyone regarding the owner without first talking to the person interested in purchasing the car.
