Vehicle Detail
I recently moved from Maryland to California. About a month after getting this car registered in California the number two ring bearing started making noise--I had it checked out by a professional mechanic. I own the car outright--no leans; but, I did not get the title transferred to California. I want to quit paying insurance on the car; therefore, I offer it here as a true auction item. The car is in really good shape except for the engine. I personally drove the vehicle. I set my cruise at the speed limit so it's been baby-footed. The only real damage is a small one-inch blemish in the headliner. The car was well maintained. I let someone drive it across from the east coast; and, they left the oil cap off for some miles--must have been the start of the issue. The car runs now; but, the rod bearing does make a load noise. The car should not be driven; because, the block may be damaged if the rod bearing seizes up. At any rate, I am closing the auction in 3 days. The car is located in the Palos Verdes area of Los Angeles. I am dropping my insurance coverage on the car at 12:01 AM on the date following the auction close. Therefore, the successful bidder/buyer should consider covering the car on the day after the auction close. All dates are year 2010.On Jul-01-10 at 16:39:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I should have said that the number two rod bearing is the issue--not the ring bearing. There's no such thing as a ring bearing. Oh, well--tired. It's the rod bearing folks.
