Vehicle Detail

Solid runner. This old bike starts right up and runs well after a brief warmup. It pulls hard through all 5 gears. The pictured windjammerII fairing is easily removed for summer riding. Note that the windscreen has been shortened to be a "look over" rather than a "look through". The seat has been recovered and looks great. The bike has new timing belts, master cylinder kits front and rear, new brake pads, new fork seals, fluids and filters. The carbs have been cleaned and the necessary o-rings have been replaced. They have been vacuum synchronized and the pilot screws adjusted. One of the float posts has been repaired with Randakk's kit which is a permanent fix. The electrics are up to spec, it charges at 13.8v. I have not polished any aluminum other than the carb pots and runners and the belt covers. The mufflers are Harley take-offs. Nice mellow sound, not loud. I have the original mufflers and they go with the bike. I also have a complete headlight assembly if the buyer wishes to remove the fairing. If that is done, you will need to get front turn signals because they were removed when the fairing was installed. I have owned the bike for a year and a half and have put about a thousand trouble free miles on it. I'm posting several pics that show the condition of the bike. If you like to polish aluminum and chrome you can make this a real beauty. If you have negative feedback in the past year please contact me before bidding. The bike is for sale locally so the auction may end early. My last weeks bike (1977) sold after three or four days. Please bid only if your serious about buying. I accept paypal and cash only. I am in Yantis, Tx. about 100 miles east of Dallas. If you are local please come by and look. I can deliver the bike to you for 25cents a mile each way up to a couple hundred miles or so. Friday 2 July - I just added bags to the bike. They are ugly old leather and are not rain tight. The came to me with the bike but did not fit. I re-made the metal frames and they can be put on/taken off in mere minutes. They attach to the shock posts and the grab rail. Very secure on the bike. If you like bags it's a bagger! Just ask and I will forward pictures to you.
