Greetings! I am listing this 2003 Honda S2000 (81,007 original miles) second owner vehicle. First of all this car has a clear salvage title registered in NM stamped "SALVAGE". If you are not familiar with salvage vehicles please do not bid. You are responsible to check in your own state on registering salvage vehicles. Car is sold "AS IS". I have owned this car since October of 2005. I purchased the car on ebay from a salvage dealer in Sacramento, CA. The original title was in Texas, so no rust. The car was involved in a front end collision, but no frame damage, damage was above the frame rail. Sheet metal work was used hood, rt. front fender and rt. door, radiator, a/c condensor and headlamps. The car had been repaired when I purchased it and had appx. 38,000 original miles on it. I replaced the headlamps w/used great condition OEM ones (plastic lens have some scratches) as new they cost $1,000-$1,200 each (headlamp guts were missing when I got it). I replaced the convertible top w/good OEM top (original top had large tears). The top retracts smoothly (completely functional). Unfotunately someone put a 4" slice on the lower right side which I had repaired. They did a great job and it seals and looks great but you can see it has been cut. The sheet metal is great with normal rock-chips in and around the grille. This lower front valance is easily repaired if this concerns you. When the car was involved in the accident the seat belts locked up and all airbags deployed. This car has NO AIRBAGS. I elected not to replace the airbags and only replace the seatbelts. There are a few scratches present on top of dash where rt. passenger airbag cover goes. I bought used great condition black seatbelts, but to replace the airbags you would need airbags (2), airbag sensor and new 2-wire connector that goes to the seatbelts. When I replaced seatbelts I used 2005 3-wire seatbelt connector by mistake as I purchased on ebay as 2-wire (rec'd. 3-wire). It works fine and seatbelts work properly as they should. A motorhead or mechanic could fix the airbags easily as most of the cost is labor if you buy the used non-deployed airbags on ebay for a fraction of the price. I use Amsoil synthetic oil and this high-performance screaming fast DOHC/VTEC 2.0 liter 240 horse loves it! The engine runs great and the VTEC kicks in at appx. 6450-6500 rpm. You can kick the VTEC in @ 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. The transmission is a close pattern 6-speed. Please price just a used engine/trans. for this car on ebay and you will see what a great deal this is. I have a very "LOW RESERVE" on this car! I replaced the catalytic convertor with a straight pipe and I am including the original catalytic convertor. This is the only straight pipe with the oxy sensor that corrects the fuel/air mixture reading so you do not get the "check engine" light. Also, the engine has a chip to add just a few horsepower. The straight pipe and chip helps the performance substantially. The year to buy the S2000 was up to 2003 as it redlines at 9000 RPM. In 2004 the redline was lowered to appx. 8000 and I believe a governer was added? This car is so much fun and as you can tell only driving in the summer months I have really enjoyed it!!! I hate to sell it, but due to personal circumstances I have to. OH, the WHEELS "are ONE of a KIND" and purchased on ebay (my cost $1,600). This set of Kinesis wheels cost $4,500 originally and were special ordered (gunmetal color). You will not see another S2000 anywhere with these wheels. They have a couple small nicks, nothing major. Needs new tires front and rear. The seats are two-tone leather black/tan (rare color combo-usually black/red). The seats have normal wear for a car of this age. The carpet is in fair condition as I have always had mats in it (a few cig burns which were already there). A down payment of $500.00 is due within 36 hours of auction-end and full balance is due within 7 days (cashier's check or bank draft only). I have all paperwork from the salvage dealer who I purchased the car from in Sacramento along with NM "SALVAGE" title and info needed. Please note again this is a "SALVAGE" vehicle sold "AS-IS" (no refunds no returns). On Jun-28-10 at 20:05:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note that the engine or transmission was not damaged in the accident and both function great. Also, the right wiper blade rubs at the bottom of the windshield. The wipers seem to be the correct fit and work fine, (possibly a missing part)? I have used them since 2005 this way. Also small rock chips in windshield but not cracks.
