Thanks for the good response on the green vespa. It did not sell for what I wanted but like I said, the bidders decide the price. My auctions are genuine NO RESERVE. For those who missed out, here is an an opportunity to own another beauty !!!! Original 1964 Vespa 150 Scooter. This is an original made in Italy. Beautifully restored by licensed technicians. The entire scooter was taken apart and fully restored. The tan color has been matched to the color pre-dominant in the 60’s model. All effort has been made to use original parts. However, it must be understood that this is a restoration of a 50-year old scooter and some parts will be after market and/or manufactured. All tires including spare are brand new, manufactured by CEAT, size 3.5-8 There is no rust as this is a recent import and has not been driven in the North East weather. All seats and mattings are brand new. This is a ‘MUST HAVE’ for all scooter enthusiasts and you will not find it cheaper anywhere. This is a NO RESERVE auction. The highest bidder takes the prize. Therefore, you decide what you want to pay for it. Items like these are apt for the phrase ‘NEIGHBOR’S ENVY OWNER’S PRIDE’. If you know what you are looking for and know how to operate a 60’s scooter then you will not go wrong with this. This is NOT one of those deals where you buy a scooter in the east, pay around $500 in shipping and then wait for it to be delivered while you go through the hassles of customs and title. It comes with a clean OHIO title. Just buy it and transfer the title. Simple as that. *A few details about the scooter: *It has a 2-stroke engine. You have to mix oil with gas like you do in your lawn mower. *It has a kick start and hand gears unlike the newer versions which have an electric start and automatic gears. This is really in a class of its very own. *This scooter was originally imported new to India from Italy before manufacture started in India and now after being restored by licensed technicians from PIAGGIO this was imported to the US. *It gives around 100 miles per gallon. Though gas prices are not at the peak as they were last year but this still shaves the gas bill. One has to understand that this is not a substitute for a car and will not help in commute to the office everyday. *This is a pristine weekend ride on the local streets with speeds up to 35-40 MPH. *I have a utility box installed in front and a hook under the driver seat to help in storing grocery bags. This is head turner whenever I take it out for a ride and always gets compliments at intersections. I have tried my best to describe this scooter and post a lot of pictures so that you can have a better understanding before bidding. I am sure though that something must have been left out.
