Vehicle Detail

I am the original owner of this 2001 Honda Accord. This is a good car that I bought off of the showroom floor. I have driven about 75% of the miles on the highway. This car has been back and forth from Phoenix to Chicago about 35 times (4 times a year for the last 9 years). Also I do home health care which is why the miles are so high on the car. Currently the car runs well, I would have no concerns driving from my house to anywhere in the country. Pros: The car has a strong motor that still starts right up. It has good compression and shows no signs of letting up. The air conditioning works well. The tires have about 50% tread left. All the lights and electrical works well. Stereo (am/fm, CD) works well. The car drives straight (no need for an alignment). The car has never been on an accident (you can carfax it if you like, if you do I will subtract the amount from the final price or mail a check for the amount if you wind up buying the car). The car overall runs well and is an inexpensive car that still demonstrates the high quality of a Honda. Cons: The car needs a new motor mount: There are 3 motor mounts for this car, two have been replaced because the car was "banging" when it changed gears. I thought that would fix the problem but it only decreased it by about 50%. I brought it in and the mechanic said the third motor mount needs to be replaced as well. This is about 200.00 for the part and 100.00 for the labor. The car can be driven without replacing but you have to ease up on the gas whenever it changes gears so it does not "bang" into gear. I did not replace because it is a cheaper sale this way and the new owner can replace themselves or take it in. The next thing is the side air bag light for the passenger side has been lit since the car has had about 25,000 miles on it. I would push on the seat and the light would go away for a few thousand miles and then come back, but I never bothered taking it in. Also there are some of the other dummy lights that are on I think because the computer needs to be reset. But lets face it the car has a lot of miles. I honestly think those are the only problems. Of course the car has 220k miles of use and the interior shows wear, but has no significant tears or anything of that sort. I actually am not aware of any tears at all, but there are a few stains. The car obviously has some scratches and grocery cart dings etc. The best I can tell you is the car has been driven for 9 years from the showroom floor to 221,000 miles. It seems to have better than average wear and tear, but it does have wear and tear. It runs much better than expected and although I can't guarantee anything I would expect it to last another 50,000 or more miles. I am selling the car because as soon as I do I go to a company car that will be a better option for me. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. I have 100% feedback because I am an honest seller and am interested in happy clients to work with. Everything I have listed is completely accurate. But I can not list everything and if there is anything you can think of feel free to ask. I can not guarantee this car for obvious reasons. As you have read it has a lot of miles and you should epect a car that has some wear and tear on it. I believe the car is worth a decent amount of money as I see some of these selling for 9000-10000 at this point (of course with much lower miles). The blue book price on this car is still $4,475.00 in the exact condition that I have listed. Yet I have this listed as a no reserve auction. Whatever the closing bid is will be the final price. I can deliver the car within 100 miles of Phoenix for no extra charge (yes I would drive it to you because I know it runs well). But you would have to pay for the vehicle in full prior to the delivery.
