You are bidding on a very nice Mercedes Benz 450 SL convertible. The following are some of the highlights I have all the orginal documentation including all the work that has ever been done to the car since 1973. The car has a hard top convertible and a soft top. The window on the soft top has a stain. Both are in excellent shape. All the major gaskets have been replaced on the engine (Head, cover and rear main) There are absolutely no leaks of any kind The transmission was recently rebuilt and comes with a 2 year warranty (Gold Seal Transmission). It shifts smoothly. The radio is orginal and works. Becker Radio installed an ipod adaptor and reconditioned the radio The color is orginal and does not appear to have been repainted The interior is in great shape on a scale from 1-10 I would rate it 9 The rugs and floor mats are like new The engine runs strong and does not smoke. She starts up every time in any wheather. It just failed inspection for a blinker that is blinking to fast. I working on getting this fixed, then it will pass NJ inspection (which is tough to pass) The paint on the car looks great from 10 feet. Any closer and there are a few nicks and scartches but nothing big. It shines nicer than my new BMW. The car is a head turner and I get complienents every where I go. After the recent transmission work, I went 100mph and the car is rock solid and can go a whole lot faster (but that is fast enough for me). The car comes with a factory curise control which is rare and works The A/C does not work. I don't know what's wrong with it and I haven't fixed it because I always drive with the top down :-) All the lights work The tires are in great shape and have more than 50% of life left in them. I don't have the orginal tires and hub cabs Underneath the is mint (no signs of rust) There is one rust bubble by the trunk and its been treated (I'm keeping a close eye on it). Not noticable because the paint is there. Inside the trunk there is very little to no sign of rust (some small spots) Comes with a spare tire Comes with the orginal tools and first aid kit It really is a beatiful car and runs great.
