This is a 1988 Jaguar xj-6 That i owed and drove a couple years as an everyday driver. I sold this car about a year ago to a guy in the navy- He drove away happy and i thought that was that.... About 7 months ago i got a registered letter from the police dept stating that my car was going up for auction.They had towed it from a housing complex with a plate from another vehicle. I paid the fee, had it towed home and have kept this car thinking that the guy was out to sea or deployment and will be back.The guy only had the car a couple months and had put new tires, a pull out stereo system with a remote which is pulled out and not in the car and has tune-up parts in the back seat.Nobody knows who this guy is, probably not even in the military. The police says the car is still mine. I did get another title--so now its on e-bay.....Of coarse it did not come with a key so i pulled the right door handle to have one made. The locksmith kept the handle for a month then told me he just dosent want to mess with it. Thats the only locksmith in town...I'm tired of weed eating around this car--and just want it gone, no time for two jobs and mess with this car.I took the battery out for my truck but i'm sure if you get a key made and a new battery- this could be a nice car again. It needs paint, interior still looks good. My reserve is the amount i have in it for storage/towing from the company that orig towed it.All the fees add up to $ 485. That the reserve. The pics are from when i sold the car the first time. It only had less than 80,000 orig. miles and ran perfect ! I fiqure he only had it about 3 months but had tires and stereo put in. Its been about 6-7 months sitting at my house. I pull it foward and back to avoid flat spots on the tires and to weed eat. The right handle is out and of coarse the door panel. Other than that the pics are acurate for the car.I can take more if you want.On Jun-28-10 at 08:57:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Here are the pics of the interior, I'm not interested in after the sale fixing the car up so you can drive it home. I sold a camper months ago and its still here- the guy wants me to put brakes on, its a 1948 theres more to it than that.... no time to work on this car, please just tow it away, i truly believe your getting a good driver for next to nothing. The tires are worth the reserve.The upper panel where you press the button for the sunroof and interior lights comes down easy. Need about 10 mins. to fit it properly and screw the retaining screw. It was taken down to look for a spare key ( by someone else). In the back seat there are a bag of bulbs,air filter,oil filter, coil, repair manual and a remote for a stereo.On Jun-29-10 at 18:18:17 PDT, seller added the following information: SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT-- If you win the car, take the handle, have a key made- your expense. If the car does not start, run and shift good--your only out the cost of the key. Thats fair...I only bailed the car out of lockup in the first place because i thought the guy was military--- deployed and had his car taken away. Not trying to unload a problem or make an enemy...On Jul-01-10 at 09:30:19 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE ON JAGUAR -- A key was made---The car did not start... Of coarse i'm pressed for time but i put a battery in and tried to start the car. It turns over fast,everything works in the car but when the lights are turned on the dash lights go blank. I dont hear the fuel pump either so could be fuel pump, could be electrical--I had about 10 mins to spare between jobs so this is it. To the bidders already-no problems here withdrawling your bids, to the others still interested--as is sale, still think its something simple and a good car. Reserve is still 498. If it doesnt sell, so be it. Sorry for the trouble i caused to the bidders.
