Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 This is one of 30 vehicles being sold from an estate auction. More info is available at www.houseofmouseracing.com. This is a court-mandated auction to which terms must be strictly adhered. Please read terms and estate auction description carefully. A bid on this auction will serve as acknowledgment that these terms have been reviewed and are understood. No auctions will be ended early or sidestepped. No side deals or trades. (Please don’t ask – I won’t respond.) You are bidding on a nice 1966 Cadillac Sedan Deville with 71,429 original miles. The exterior is Butternut Yellow with a nice black interior and black fabric top. This car has many options including working air conditioning. Car starts right up, runs, drives, steers and stops fine. The Body is pretty straight with some light scratches and one big scrape pictured. At some point in its history someone sanded some of the surface rust spots and repainted right over the areas without building the area back up to make them smooth. This was done in many areas of the car, mainly down low on the rockers. Car appears never to have had major rust, just areas that were touched up as seen in the photos. There has been body work performed on mid to lower sections of both driver doors from what looks like a minor accident. The repair is not the greatest work of art as you can tell from the photos. Body does appear to be very solid, pretty straight, paint still shines nice. It looks good from 20 feet but as you get close you can see the lack of body work performed under the repaint. All the moldings are on the car and are nice and shiny, straight and for the most part dent free. The chrome bumpers are straight but there are two small dents on each side of the rear bumper pictured. The bumpers will need to be rechromed since they have minor pitting. All the glass looks nice, no cracks or delamination. Weatherstripping and rubber are good. The padded fabric top is nice, stain and damage free but there appears to be some bubbles under the thin section under the back window - not bad just wanted to mention. No restoration work was done to the body and top by me except for washing the car. It looks nice now but will need a detailed cleaning. The Interior is black and is in very nice shape. Seats are black fabric and are in very nice shape. No cracks in the dash or tilt telescoping steering wheel. Most everything works. All windows work. A/C works but is not getting that cold (compressor is working, low charge). Clock works, wipers work, door locks work, gauges as far as I can tell all work. Standard and Optional Equipment on this car are... power steering with cooler, power brakes, power door locks, power windows, power seat, air conditioning (works), E-Z Eye glass, tilt/telescoping wheel and fabric top. The Drivetain is a 429ci and runs smooth and idles nice after sitting so long. Trans is a turbo 400 that operates currently from what limited driving I can do. Currently the fuel lines are disconnected, a remote electric fuel pump is installed in its place. The float is working and the car will run and drive with this set up. The set up will remain on the car in the event the winner needs to be able to move the vehicle for shipping purposes. You will be able to get about 7-10 minutes run time before you’re out of fuel. The engine does not smoke, make any unusual noises or over heat. I did drive it around and it runs good and steers fine. No oil leaks or tranny leaks. The Undercarriage is in good condition. No major rust issues. Muffler sounds like it may need to be replaced (coming apart on the inside). Floors look nice and solid as does the frame. Other info: Tires are ok but 2 leak down after a few days. Spare tire looks original. The factory jack and all accessories are in the trunk. Trunk liner is in nice condition with no rips or damage. The master window switch on the driver door is loose in the control panel and will need repair. The heater core appears to be leaking and will need to be replaced. The master cylinder was replaced but the brake system needs to be serviced (lines flushed, rear shoes grab, etc.). Any original parts replaced will be in the trunk. Car comes with one set of factory keys, clear Ohio title, factory paperwork and protect-o-plate. Shipping is the winners’ responsibility. I can help with local shipping and work with your shipper. If shipping out of the country I do have a shipper that can help make your arrangements. He ships mostly to the Scandinavian countries. Due to space limitations and subsequent auction listings, the car must be paid for and picked up with in 7 days unless both parties agree on other arrangements. If the terms of this auction are not adhered to, the car will be immediately relisted. If you are requesting additional pictures please send me your email address. Ebay will not let me add any more pictures to the ad. Estate Auction Description This vehicle is part of a group of 30 (mostly collector) vehicles being sold in an estate auction. We have been contracted to prepare them for auction and then direct the sale thru the Ohio Probate Court. For information on more of the vehicles, please see our website at http://www.houseofmouseracing.com. Our contract states that all purchases must be transacted through eBay auction. No auctions will be ended early or sidestepped. There will be no side deals or trades. We were told that all of them ran and drove when they were parked in storage. However, that was several decades ago. We have no other knowledge of the history of these vehicles. We have made an attempt to see if the motor runs within minimal monetary and time budgets. Our listing represents the best of our knowledge obtained from transporting, cleaning and evaluating the vehicle – but there are no guarantees. There is no warranty or representation that the vehicle is drivable in its current state. You are welcome to arrange a viewing of this vehicle during evening or weekend hours. After processing fees are deducted, the remainder of the proceeds from the sale of these vehicles will be donated to 501(c)3 charity Rustler Ranch, Inc. Rustler Ranch, Inc., a tax-exempt public charity located in Ashtabula County, Ohio, whose mission is that of providing a shelter and refuge for homeless or disadvantaged youth as well as providing educational and recreational programs for youth groups from the inner city. Amounts paid for this vehicle over fair market value may, in some cases, be tax deductible. Please check with your tax professional to ascertain whether this would apply to your purchase. Terms: Contact must be made by the buyer within 48 hours. A non-refundable 10% deposit is due within 36 hours of end of auction close, balance due within 7 days of auction close as cash, wire or Paypal only. Due to space limitations and other upcoming auctions, buyer MUST take possession within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements are agreed upon. I do not finance. No trade or barter. I am not responsible for any fees, or taxes or any out-of-pocket costs. Buyer is responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. No warranty, sold as is. Vehicles listed have clear Ohio titles. Will not ship but will try to work with you if you hire a shipping company. However, since this is my residence, arrangements will have to be made for the shipping company to pick up the car when I can be home to attend it. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and related arrangements and payments. Vehicle must be paid in full before it leaves my premises and I assume no responsibility for damages incurred after leaving my premises. Remember when placing a bid you are entering a legally binding contract. Do not bid unless you plan to purchase this car. Ask all of your questions and/or come see the vehicle before you commit by bidding, because a bid is a commitment to purchase. As you can see by my feedback (100% positive), I describe my items accurately. I have sold other vehicles on eBay to happy purchasers. Good luck and happy bidding.
