This is a very well engineered vehicle in my opinion. The car has never left me sit, not once. Good Maintenance Record; Oil changed and filter every 3-4,000 miles. All other scheduled maintenance completed mostly by the dealership. Major Components: Engine, Transmission, Rear End are sound with no leaks, problems, or pending problems that I am aware of. Options: as stated above this vehicle is loaded. It was an expensive vehicle new for its time. Interior is beautiful and in excellent condition with no damage or tears in the leather to the best of my knowledge. New parts: Was fixing it up and then the wife decided she wanted a Chrysler 300. New or pretty new parts include: Rear tires have less than 7,000 miles on them – cost was $400.00 plus with mounting and balance New battery – just replaced, no miles on it. Cost was $100.00, Front Brake Rotors replaced at 130,000 miles. Cost was $325.00. WORK NEEDED 1. Needs PA Plates and Inspection. 2. Major problem is the cooling system – the radiator leaks and one of the two fans is frozen. The radiator needs repaired and/or replaced – new radiator cost is $100.00. Fan is $45.00 if you get it from the junkyard. You need to get this fixed before driving the car. 3. Front drivers side window does not work. Best case Scenario is that it is off the track and worst-case scenario is that the window motor needs replaced. It could also be the switch – not sure. 4. Body Imperfections: Hood needs to be painted – I was told that the paint on many of these has done the same thing on this year on the hood. I am assuming it is an undercoat problem or problem with the topcoat – not really sure. There are some small scratches and very small dents as expected on a car of this age. Overall not considering the hood it is in good shape with nothing major wrong. 5. Trunk Leaks – easy fix with a little weather – stripping or sealant. Price We are starting this out at $1200, which is well below Kelley Blue Book. In my opinion and using the criteria as outlined by Kelley this vehicle is not good enough to be listed as “good” but in better condition than to be listed as “fair.” There are no apparent major mechanical defects with this vehicle (other than the cooling problem) that I am aware of and there is no body damage that hinders the operation of the vehicle. To drive it you will need to get the cooling problem fixed and to have it inspected in PA I believe the drivers’ window will need to work. If you can do your own work you should have this thing on the road for a minimum investment. Disclaimer If you should decide to buy this vehicle, you are buying it “AS IS” I have gone out of my way to try and list everything I know that is wrong with the thing. There could be more wrong or what I have listed could be it. You are solely responsible for making your own determination about this vehicle. Once your payment clears it is yours for better or for worse.
