Engine was previously in my 68 1/2 Mustang CJ car and performs very well. Car originally started as a 302 efi w 5 speed w current suspension(w exception now of heavier loaded springs and Lower A Arms). The transmission was obviously upgraded to a new TKO 600, beefier driveshaft(NEW $400 from Mustangs Plus in Cali.), clutch,etc once the big block was dropped in. An ASE certified mechanic (Phillip's Automotive) installed the Painless wiring harness, and also spent countless hours redoing all the brake/fuel lines in an effort to hide them in the engine bay.Mike(Phillip's Automotive) also has done or redone(due to age of parts and appearance) the entire car from exhaust to new ignition switch everything mechanical and a great deal of custom fabrication work. Included in these details would be the tig welded custom polished aluminum covers for the Mustang II upper A arms in the engine bay,the beefed up motor mounts, customizing the x brace so it can be removed (if necessary) to work on undercarriage, the heat shield for the Wilwood master cylinder, the custom Jet Hot coated headers and polished stainless exhaust. Suspension Heidt's Mustang II w 2" drop spindles, 11" rotors w polished "stepped calipers" in front and regular polished calipers in rear, chrome coil springs, Billet coilover shocks(adjustable up to 2"), manual rack and pinion, Total control Products x brace, frame connectors,9" rear w 3.70 posi rear Body/Paint Daytona Blue PPG basecoat/clearcoat medium blue metallic pearl w pearl white stripes(stripes and lettering are painted on car), Maier Racing body kit molded on w 3M products, New Dynacorn full quarters, doors, fenders, outer wheelhouses, trunk pans, fender aprons etc.Fender aprons retain vin # . Drip rail has been shaved and is very clean and straight. Cowl vents are also deleted for a smooth finish. Front headlights were modified to accept 67 Shelby headlights for appearance and ease of replacement(unlike other kits where wheels must be removed and access is from behind lights) Panel alignment and fitment are excellent Interior Everything NEW or refurbished(original panels) including dash pad(dashes Direct), brushed aluminum dash and door panels, Autometer Ultra Lite gauges, ACC carpet, TMI headliner, door panels( TMI)Dynamat from trunk to toe board, Shelby roll bar, restored fold down seat w new chrome, carpet and paint, Scat Ralley seats, sail panels have new vents and sliders($200) Lecarra steering wheel w Billet hub adapter. Window cranks/handles, sill plates, radio bezel, shift boot/plate,shift knob,mirror,windlace, etc are NEW. Windshield is NEW CarLite with all new chrome as well as chrome on rear window. Glass was installed by Glazier's. New wing windows($325) as old wing windows were not perfect. New beltline/weatherstrip as well as all trim/decor pieces. Brakes New Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners w new polished master cylinder. New brake lines w proportioning valve for rear wheels. New E brake and lines. Braking system is completely new front to back. Electrical/Heating-air conditioning New Painless complete wiring harness for 1967-68 Mustang ($699) that was painstakingly run through frame in engine bay to hide as much wiring as possible. New Old Air products heating/air conditioning system (polished AC compressor underhood w provisions for AC prepped- new complete system that will be included with sale of vehicle). Radiator "hoses" are now Tig welded polished pipe. Heater is NEW as is all duct work, wiring and controls. Paint is show quality and offers a "Candy" type finish that is easier to match yet shows like a candy color. Every nut, bolt, piece of weatherstrip/seals, lights, chrome pieces/emblems are new out of box. Car was taken to professionals and was caringly(and meticulously)assembled and painted. A very reputable Shelby/Mustang restoration shop has seen this car and can offer a detailed assessment of the quality and detail that has gone into this vehicle. Car runs drives like new and I will provide any pictures, info that is needed for potential buyer. Car has a ton of hours in build and quality of parts and restoration was top priority.
