Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 This is one of 30 vehicles being sold from an estate auction. More info is available at www.houseofmouseracing.com. This is a court-mandated auction to which terms must be strictly adhered. Please read terms and estate auction description carefully. A bid on this auction will serve as acknowledgment that these terms have been reviewed and are understood. No auctions will be ended early or sidestepped. No side deals or trades. (Please don’t ask – I won’t respond.) You are bidding on a very nice, stately 7-8 passenger Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine with only 9,000 original miles which runs and drives. Most everything works (including the air conditioning) except for a couple of items noted below. This has been sitting in a warehouse for over 25+ years and still smells new. This is 1 of 1,450 made and probably the lowest mile ’82 Limo out there. The original window sticker shows this limo costing $29,999.00 new. Here’s your chance to pick up a low mile Limo at a fraction of the price. The Body is nice and straight with some light scratches and a couple of door dings. No rust anywhere. The weatherstripping is nice and soft and still very flexible. The padded top is very nice and soft. No tears or discoloration but does need some cleaning. During the washing none of the windows nor the trunk leaked water. The exterior was washed only, nothing further was done to the exterior paint. Over all the paint is very nice and shiny, straight but will need detailing to make it look new again. The bumpers are nice and straight with no rust or pitting. The bumper rubber trim appears to be in very nice condition with no cracks or weathering. From what I observed it looks like the hood may have been changed because of a GM “parts” label under the hood. Further investigation showed evidence that the header panel may have also been removed/replaced once. The driver fender may have had some paint work done. I don’t see any evidence that it was in a major accident because the bumper shocks show no evidence that they ever collapsed. The trunk has to be held open, the tension system is not working at this time. The Interior is very nice and still looks new from the carpeting to the door panels. Seats are black fabric and are in very nice shape. There is no divider window on this model but it does have jump seats. There are only 2 small imperfections on the center of the front bench, may be cigarette burns, noticeable but not bad. No cracks in the dash or steering wheel. Interior looks like it just came off the show room floor. All glass is in great shape. The glass is factory tinted only, not limo tint. All windows work, A/C blows cold, and as far as I could tell everything is still in working order. There is an issue with the power antenna. The motor just keeps running, so I unplugged it so as not to burn up the motor. The Engine is a 6 liter, HT4100 digital fuel-injected gasoline engine. The following work was performed to prepare the engine to run. The oil was changed. A new battery was installed. The electronic fuel pump was not operating so the gas tank was dropped and the old gas removed. I found that the rubber hose connecting the fuel pump to the sender had deteriorated and fallen inside the fuel pump causing the fuel pump to seize. A new fuel sending unit, fuel sock and fuel pump were installed. Fuel injection cleaner was added to the new gas and the engine was started. Engine runs good but will need new plugs and possible tune up from sitting so long. There is an intermittent check engine light which comes and goes. The engine does not smoke, make any unusual noises or over heat. I did drive it around and it runs good, stops well and steers fine. The Undercarriage is in excellent condition. No rust, not even surface rust. It does have the factory applied undercoating. It appears that it has never been in salt, mud or dusty environments. Just a very nice looking and clean undercarriage. Exhaust and catalytic converter look new. Other info: Spare tire looks original. The factory jack and all accessories are in trunk. Trunk liner is in nice condition with no rips or damage. The rear door lock knobs were missing so old styles were installed. The emblems on all the hub caps are missing. The tires have flat spots from sitting so long. They will need to be replaced. Overall this is a very nice running and driving Limo. With a little work it would be ready to be put back on the road.Car comes with one set of factory keys and clear Ohio title. Factory dealership window sticker showing all options and standard equipment goes with the vehicle. Due to space limitations and subsequent auction listings, the car must be paid for and picked up with in 7 days unless both parties agree on other arrangements. If the terms of this auction are not adhered to, the car will be immediately relisted. If you are requesting additional pictures please send me your email address. Ebay will not let me add any more pictures to the ad. Estate Auction Description This vehicle is part of a group of 30 (mostly collector) vehicles being sold in an estate auction. We have been contracted to prepare them for auction and then direct the sale thru the Ohio Probate Court. For information on more of the vehicles, please see our website at http://www.houseofmouseracing.com. Our contract states that all purchases must be transacted through eBay auction. No auctions will be ended early or sidestepped. There will be no side deals or trades. We were told that all of them ran and drove when they were parked in storage. However, that was several decades ago. We have no other knowledge of the history of these vehicles. We have made an attempt to see if the motor runs within minimal monetary and time budgets. Our listing represents the best of our knowledge obtained from transporting, cleaning and evaluating the vehicle – but there are no guarantees. There is no warranty or representation that the vehicle is drivable in its current state. You are welcome to arrange a viewing of this vehicle during evening or weekend hours. After processing fees are deducted, the remainder of the proceeds from the sale of these vehicles will be donated to 501(c)3 charity Rustler Ranch, Inc. Rustler Ranch, Inc., a tax-exempt public charity located in Ashtabula County, Ohio, whose mission is that of providing a shelter and refuge for homeless or disadvantaged youth as well as providing educational and recreational programs for youth groups from the inner city. Amounts paid for this vehicle over fair market value may, in some cases, be tax deductible. Please check with your tax professional to ascertain whether this would apply to your purchase. Terms: Contact must be made by the buyer within 48 hours. A non-refundable 10% deposit is due within 36 hours of end of auction close, balance due within 7 days of auction close as cash, wire or Paypal only. I am not responsible for any fees, or taxes or any out-of-pocket costs. Buyer is responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. No warranty, sold as is. Vehicles listed have clear Ohio titles. Will not ship but will try to work with you if you hire a shipping company. However, since this is my residence, arrangements will have to be made for the shipping company to pick up the car when I can be home to attend it. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and related arrangements and payments. Vehicle must be paid in full before it leaves my premises and I assume no responsibility for damages incurred after leaving my premises. Remember when placing a bid you are entering a legally binding contract. Do not bid unless you plan to purchase this car. Ask all of your questions and/or come see the vehicle before you commit by bidding, because a bid is a commitment to purchase. As you can see by my feedback (100% positive), I describe my items accurately. I have sold other vehicles on eBay to happy purchasers. Good luck and happy bidding. On Jun-18-10 at 20:45:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several people state that the engines description is incorrect. The HT4100 is in question. As far as I know the "Emissions Tag" in photo states 6 liter. The block is a iron block not aluminum. Some caddy gurus said if it an HT4100 it would be an aluminum block. I can't answer this so please due your research before bidding. Thanks. On Jun-23-10 at 12:55:19 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple of people have asked about the door dings. There really isn't any door dings to speak of just the following... There is only one dent about the size of a nickel on the pass. side 1/4 panel, 1 chip on the center front edge of the valance which is about 1/16 diameter, not much of a thing at all. 1 paint defect pass.front fender at pin stripping, about 1" x 1 1/2". Other than that the body is great and anything else should just buff away. Again, nothing has been done to detail the body except washing it.
