If you’ve been looking for a nice 4X4 Diesel truck to pull the camper or some heavy trailers around and want 20 MPG’s and can’t afford a new Dodge diesel ($48,000) and quite honestly don’t want to mess with the new emissions equipped diesels, this might be just what you’ve been waiting for. A two owner truck that was well cared for and is in great shape and it has the simplest 5.9 cummins 12 valve mechanical pump diesel engine and ready to be put to use. Read on for a full description. Mechanically this truck is very strong. Motor starts up smooth with no hesitation or smoke. Transmission shifts great and the fluid looks and smells good. Coolant and transmission oil are clean and nice. Everything is nice and tight and it has a new New Jersey State inspection until April of 2011. The truck drives nice on the highway with low rpm’s for great fuel economy 3.55 rear end ratio. There are no leaks on this truck, engine and transmission and rears are all dry without leaks. It has a matching set of 285/75/16 BFG All Terrain tires with 65% tread all wearing evenly. Looks to have a recent set of Edelbrock shocks and factory exhaust system installed. There are no performance mods on this truck and the pump was never turned up. Mechanically you will be very satisfied with this Mopar. Cosmetically this truck is the same condition, nice and well cared for. The paint shines well and is very straight but it does have a few chips, light scratches and door dings that I touched up and now are barely noticeable. Please remember what you are purchasing, this is a 12 year old truck with 152k miles, it definitely won’t win any shows but it is well above average condition and any mopar fan would be proud to have this sitting in the garage. The rear bumper has a few dents. The frame and underbody of this truck are absolutely amazing. No rust or corrosion anywhere. The top side is the same way no rust in any of the body panels, seams or even under the doors, very nice example of a well cared for 12 Valve. The interior is well above average for the year and mileage. It had catch all rubber floor mats since 40k miles when the second owner purchased it and they go with. The seats, headliner, dash, door panels and carpets are all very nice. Smells nice and is very clean and well cared for. I have the original owners manual to go with the truck. These 12 valve dodges are getting very hard to find especially the 1998 quad cab model that were only produced for 6 months.
