versionsofu Store Up for auction is my 1955 TRIUMPH CUB I decided to go with no reserve this time. Reserves always seem to scare people off every time I've sold a vehicle on here so lets try thins again.Totally restored from the ground up, no expense spared, 150 miles since rebuild. It has had a sympathetic restoration in as much every attempt was made to keep as much originality as possible. I.E. wheel rims were re-chromed rather than new, only sensible upgrades used, such as 12v alternator and voltage control with electronic ignition, infinitely more reliable than original, and to preserve the engine life, an external oil filter and oil cooler were fitted. The oil filter can be seen just above the silencer and the oil cooler is mounted at the front of the engine on the clutch side. The oil pump was upgraded to a 60s pump (NOS). Triumph gradually increased the oil pump capacity over the years (to improve cooling). This one is one of the last type before the bantam cub. The crankshaft has a Alpha roller, bearing conversion way better than standard plain bush system. The clutch has a Serco (cub specialist in England) aluminum pressure plate (no slip). Overall, I have tried to produce the best cub I possibly could. Engine and Frame numbers match.
