1936 Chevrolet 2 door sedan This is a well preserved '36 Chevrolet. The car is as original as they come and is equipped with the rare side mount spare. The car is completely functional and it runs and drives as good as it looks. Lots of neat documents from the original owner come with the car including several trophies and awards, even registration dating back to 1941. The car was one family owned most of it's life. It has been a retired show car now for many years and has been sitting in a museum up until not too long ago. The car is rock solid and actually drives very good. Brakes are nice and firm and it runs cool. There are no rust issues with this car. It still sports it's original flat 6 cyl engine (79hp) and 3 speed manual transmission with floor shift. The engine compartment is clean and original. It starts easy, runs cool, shifts, and stops good etc. The paint looks really good overall but it is not perfect. It appears to be lacquer that is showing it's age with some cracks etc but it really doesn't take away from the overall feel and look of the car. The worst of it is on the inside of the driver's fender (see photos). The interior appears to be all original mohair. It too is in very good shape overall but there are a few spots on the upholstery and headliner that look a little stained. The car has 6 matching tires and wheels. One spare is in the trunk so you don't have to get your side mounted spare dirty if needed. The fender mounted spare tire is very rare and makes the car quite unique. I scanned a copy of all of the cars specs that the original owner filled out for the car. There is a book with lots of receipts and other misc documents that comes along with the car, along with a framed display of original registration cards. This car really grows on you and needs be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Come see it and drive it, low mileage originals are hard to come by. This car is for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime if needed. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer although I will gladly assist wtih arrangements. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours with full payment due within 7 days of the auctions end. Naturally, the car will not be released until funds have cleared my bank.
