Vehicle Detail
I bought this car in Southern California in 1994 and have been storing it ever since. I have a signed California title (not a salvage title) from the previous owner. I hauled it to Texas in 2003 when I moved there and don't feel like bringing it back to California (I'm in the process of moving back). As a result, I am selling it and a number of other cars/parts. This GTO only has 65996 original miles on it as it was involved in an accident in the early 80's and was parked instead of being repaired. It was struck on the passenger side at the very front of the car and then swung around causing the passenger rear to strike something. The framehorns are bent and the right rear quarter panel is damaged as a result. It comes with the damaged endura bumper with hideaways, but no fenders or hood. It still has it's original drivetrain, including the numbers matching YS code engine (see photos). This car does have factory front disc brakes. I never ordered the Pontiac Historic Services paperwork so I don't know about all of the original equipment info. Although damaged, this GTO appears to have essentially no rust and would make an excellent restoration project. As the photos illustrate, the interior pieces(door panels, rear seat, dash) are in very good condition. I did remove the original front seats and console years ago and put them in my 68 GTO convertible( I may have put the front armrests and glovebox door on my car too). Please feel free to ask questions and I will answer them as accurately as I can. I will try to add additional photos if needed. This car is available for viewing and is listed for sale locally. As a result, I reserve the right to end the auction at any time prior to the reserve being met. This car is being sold as is and the buyer is responsible for shipping/transport.Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions. On Jun-04-10 at 11:25:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I also have a 1969 Lemans listed on ebay that could be used to help restore this car: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pontiac-Le-Mans-1969-Pontiac-Le-Mans-69-Lemans-/230483347019?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item35a9e0c64bOn Jun-05-10 at 19:59:20 PDT, seller added the following information: A fellow ebayer pointed out that the photo of the dash vin# and engine vin# don't match. I mistakenly added a photo of my 69 GTO dash vin#. The correct VIN# for this car is 242378Z110517 but ebay will not allow me to replace the photo. If anyone would like a photo of the correct vin#, please let me know. Sorry for the confusion.
