1975 Porsche 914 1.8L Excellent overall condition, can be used as a daily driver or easily upgraded to show. No significant rust – some as typical under battery area, but no structural incursions or external damage. Has original engine, rebuilt in 1990 with hydraulic valve lifters, and original fuel injection system. Engine is dependable and runs well. Transmission is strong and shifts smoothly, has typical first gear engagement characteristics, however. Brakes are in good shape, rebuilt front calipers in 2009. Repainted in 2002 with original Guards Red, has been garaged and covered since, when not in use. Has minor blemishes on trunk lid – some small cracks (I think a kid sat on it without my knowledge) and a small chip on left rear. It has one or two rock pecks in the hood and windshield. New tires installed in 2006, excellent condition. Interior in very good condition, one crack in dashboard, other minor blemishes. Replaced carpets in 1990, replaced clock in console with VDO oil pressure gauge. All gauges working except odometer. WSW, radio and heater work well. I have boxes of Porsche publications related to the 914, service/repair manuals, technical articles, and small spare parts that go with the car.
