Vehicle Detail
This is a current and clean titled 1976 cb550f supersport I purchased a couple years ago not running with around 24k on odometer. It also comes with a 76 k parts bike, two additional tanks (one primed 76 k lined with por15 and one 76 f lined with kreem but dented), a couple complete gasket sets, and the orginal engine (primary chain broke). It started out stock, then I stripped it down and built it up. Frame was painted with a single stage black. I went through all the wiring and upgraded with new Oregon motorcycle parts rectifier. Also, I sourced an aftermarket seat. I custom ordered a new set of frank’s forks and rebuilt the front end. The tank in the picture is from a 75 cb750. I just really like the look of a larger tank so i'm keeping this one. auction includes a primed 76k tank lined with por15 ready to paint and the original f tank that's dented. New adjustable short 11” rear shocks. The engine is setup from a 74 k with around 14k miles, compression is even across the cylinders. carbs are completely rebuilt 069As with 100 mains. I went through and dipped them in yamalube carb dip, ran air through, adjusted float heights, lubed up moveable parts of linkage. I also installed new Honda clutch pack. Dyna ignition, coils, and wires. I went through and did valve job, chain adjustment, timing, and carb balance. I also retorqued the head bolts while I was in there. There are NO oil leaks at all. Dual disc conversion was done with parts from parts bike. New Honda seals and phenolic pistons. Calipers were done in black coating, and stainless steel braided lines throughout. also, in order to cut down on the squeal, i sanded and slotted the new brake pads. New Honda rear shoe set on the drums. Both starter and kick start work. The exhaust is stock 4to1 that I just coated with high temp header paint. It has some rust holes. I was considering a new mac exhaust, but just never got around to it. Spokes and rims have some surface rust. They should clean up, but it will be a laborious. I’ve only ran this bike for maybe 100 miles since I’ve completed the project. This bike is dialed in and ready to go. Detailed picks at the flickr site. Test rides with M1 only and cash in hand.
