You may know this car ? The Car and Motor : Original padded dash is straight with no tears or splits, the Original LE thick tightly stitched leather original steering wheel, the smaller sized steering wheel is great to wheel this car when driving on tight turns, the gauges are in working order as is the clock, the heater fan, the 3 wiper blades, turn signals and stop lights and head lights, and interior light and gauge lights and all gauges , the oil gauge reads a little over 50 lbs. at idle. The motor starts right up with NO smoke and the valves are quiet, you can feel the power and torque in this original motor with less then 58,000 miles, Original transmission shifts smooth up and down threw 1, 2, 3, 4 and engages in to 5 with a slip of your thumb on the stick shifter, the over sized radiator is original with duel fans that is v8 qualified keeps this 4 cylinder cool. The car has it's original spare and jack with covers and the original MGB red record book that came with the car, the mg was fitted with a quality AM FM Stereo CD player with quality speakers. Convertible top is original as is the tonneau cover which needs some stitching or replacement, the 1/2 cover that is behind the seats to cover the top when the top is down looks close to new, the seats are original and have been repaired in different spots, the door panels are tight with no sags in near excellent shape. The rug and the floor mats are there and in good shape (took mats out to show how clean the floors are in factory original condition, no rust at all , ask questions please if you need more info or pictures. The Body: Paint and body are original the MG has 1 small dent in need of repair in a very easy front access area , and a few small dings, the sheet metal next to the wing window on the passenger side has a 3mm split, the MG has NO rot or rusted cancer areas threw out this car, the body is sound and has no other past repairs to it, the floor board, trunk, motor compartment are clean and original, please contact us to see the car if you are in the area. The Flaws: The MG flaws have been pointed out, see pictures, pictures below will show clean floor boards, trunk, and motor compartment, I will also show the dent and dings and the entire car front to back. I have dropped the price down $1000.00 from the price I paid in 2006 because of the repairs needed, which I feel is a fair price for this model and year which are fetching an average of $7,500 to 15,000 on up.The ending price will be sold to the highest bidder AS IS who meets the reserve. On Jun-09-10 at 13:41:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been asked if the ding (shown in pic)is over the fender; yes the left fender is shown with a dime sized ding thats over the wheel well, all two dings (2nd shown in pic) are in wheel well area, if the tires were removed for repair you can repair with no trouble , the small dent in the very front left of car (shown in pic) is also in easy access right to the dent from under the left front tire. Thank you for your questions, I'm not a body mechanic but know how to pound a dent out , I'm sure there is a mechanic special way to fix this dent, and would agree you can put your hand under the fender and feel the dented area.
