***1970 CORD COMPLETELY PRO RESTORED OVER 50K INVESTED*** ***PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION --- POWERFUL 302 FORD V-8 ***CUSTOM PAINT WITH LEATHER INTERIOR*** This is a 1970 Cord Warrior built by SAMCO. The owner bought it in 2003 from a man who had the car completely restored in a pro shop. If you look at this car you can tell it was professionally built. It has only gone 3347 miles since the restoration. It has custom pearl paint accented with chrome wheels and a folding cloth convertible top. Interior is burgundy and white leather. Car is easy to drive with rack and pinion steering, power disc brakes, Vintage air with heat and defrost and power windows. Owner says car drives like it has power steering and is very stable at high speed. The engine was completely built with all Edelbrock parts: aluminum heads, intake, cam and kit, carburetor and has MSD ignition, distributor and wires. Engine fires right up and runs very strong. Transmission is automatic and sends power to the Ford 9-inch rear. The owner is going through a divorce and has some business obligations so he needs to sell. He has a lien of about half the car's value with a local bank. He can get title in 2 - 3 days. If you'd like to see the car email me for the owner's number. If you'd like to see a video of the car and hear the engine run email me for the link. This is a sharp looking great sounding car. Body is very solid and it is well constructed. The previous owner spent just under 50K on the restoration by a professional shop. Here it is with the high quality cloth top. Top material is thick. This car runs and drives great and is a bunch of fun. All trim items are in excellent like new condition. There is a spare on the back that is covered with the same material as the top. All five wheels are the same. The restoration shop did the custom pearl paint. It really sparkles in the sun. Doors open and shut very easily and the car is solid. Windows are power and have a stainless frame. It's a real beauty. Engine has plenty of power to move it. Paint is smooth and glossy. Hood opens from the back. It has ribbed bumpers front and rear. Dual exhaust sounds deep and throaty. The only thing the shop missed was connecting the wires for the license plate lights. The car has no trunk but the custom paint gives an illusion of a trunk. There is a cap on the passenger side that goes to the fuel tank. Interior upholstery is two tone leather and is very well done. Gauges are gold VDO. Seats have very little wear and feel comfy. It has a wooden steering wheel. You can see the four-way flasher button. Turn signal stalk is on the other side of the column. Wood dash and gauges are sharp. It has only traveled 3347 miles since it was completely rebuilt. Stereo is JVC with AM/FM/CD. The silver plate is for the Vintage Air heat, defroster and air conditioning. The shifter is from B&M and has a wooden shift ball. There are two outlets in the center for the AC and two under the dash on either side near the kick panel. Parking brake is under dash on driver side. You can see it has seat belts. Sharp interior It has a back seat cushion Engine is a 302 Ford V-8 that fires right up, runs strong, sounds strong Previous owner liked Edelbrock parts - the engine has aluminum Performer heads and intake, Performer cam and lifters, Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke. You can see the Edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers. Filter is K&N It has power brakes with discs on the front. Fuel pump is electric. Compressor for the air conditioning is polished. Radiator has an electric fan that works by thermostat and there is a switch in the passenger compartment if you'd like to turn it on - engine has never ran hot. Engine has MSD distributor, coil, wires and ignition box. Car was rewired and the owner installed a new battery recently Underside of hood - there is a metal rod to hold it up 069W248F is the VIN for the car Plate under the hood Mustang II style rack and pinion steering - car steers easy It has disc brakes on the front It has a 9-inch Ford rear mounted with coil overs You can see the pearl in the paint Very sharp car that only has a couple of minor paints chips - I would say paint is show quality It has burgundy and silver custom striping around the car Both bumpers are ribbed It has the fake supercharger pipes - hood has a latch on either side Doors open and close correctly - body panel alignment is right on Driver side rear fender There is tasteful pinstriping below each taillight It has nice sounding duals under the license plate - car is titled as a 1970 and is registered as an antique. Title says Cord. This shop did the work on the restoration - shop is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico - current owner bought it from a man who lived in New Mexico Cloth top is easy to fold and has a glass window Window unzips to allow a large opening Passenger rear fender It has metal stone guards in front of both rear fenders Power windows have stainless trim All glass is good with no chips or damage - both power windows work fine. It's not supercharged but the engine has plenty of get up and go If you are seriously interested in this car my advice is to come and see it. The car is located in Richmond, Virginia. Car is a short drive from I-95, I-64, Route 1 or I-295.
