Hi there,Up for sale is a a beautiful 68 Candy Apple red Mustang that has been restored the right way! According to the vin number this is the original colour. Much effort has been put into making sure this was done right. The car had been completely taken apart and ever spot of rust completely removed. In fact the insurance evaluator said this was one of the best cars he has ever seen in terms of proper restoration, if I told you how much the car was insured for you would be amazed (and they always underestimate!). The body is factory straight, it looks as if it had come right off the assembly line. Everything is original with matching #'s, the 289 has been changed from a 2bbl to a 4bbl, pushes out more than 280 hp. It has a 2.95z T-5 5 speed transmission purchased new from Hanlon Motorsports. It has a cable actuated clutch and a Pro 5.0 shifter. We put 3.55 gears in the rear for maximum drivability. It consistently gets over 20 MPG.It has a Randall's Rack Power Rack & Pinion steering setup but all the original power and manual steering parts are included with the car, including the original front seats if you are unhappy with the modern look. The wheels are 15" GT Rally Chrome with 225/60/15 B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's. Muffler system are 2 1/2" dual exhaust with H-Pipe and Flowmaster Mufflers, and Jet Hot Coated Hooker Comp Headers. Has a great sound system with a cd player up front and remote, and a 12inch sub in the trunk with 6 disc CD changer. I think I mentioned everything I needed, it really is a show car that can be used as an everyday driver, its up to you.
