Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This beautiful 1973 Datsun 240Z was a showcar and has a fantastic paint job in a DuPont Chromabase/Chromaclear. The body is practically flawless. All panels fit well and doors close perfectly. This car features a recently rebuilt L28 Block mated with a new 5 speed transmission. It has plenty of power and shifts well in all gears. This Z has a sunroof and a rare whale tail. The carburetors on this car are the early style SU hitachi carbs which are much more dependable and deliver better performance than the flat top carburetors that came with the car. There are no signs of rust on this car. Even the underside is clean and rust free. This amazing Z also has a front strut tower brace for improved handling. Suspension is in good shape with no unusual noises. The interior of this car is very clean with clean vinyl upholstery throughout. I did note that the driver's seat could use new seat straps as the support is not what it should be. Door panels are in great shape and kick sill plates, threshold plates look like new. It features a rare working original Hitachi am/fm radio. All carpeting is in nice shape as well and headliner looks like new. Glass is all good. There is a new radiator in this car with fresh hoses so the engine runs nice and cool. I noted that the heater controls are not currently working and so this may need some attention. Bumpers are in near perfect condition. Brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The car steers straight and doesn't pull to the side on braking. This car is in great shape overall and is a real head turner. Door jambs, underside of hood and engine bay are painted in the same matching color as the exterior. The only chip I noticed in the paint is about the size of a pencil eraser on the back of the whale tail. This car has a clean California title and registration is paid up through October.
