This is my 1968 Pontiac Gto. The title is in my name, and is insured in my name. I have Pontiac history on this car. The engine is the original YS, with numbers matching vin stamped in the block. I dont know how long ago the car was restored, but it still has the original seat covers and carpet in the car, and in great shape!! It is the super nice April gold with gold interior. I bought the car from an attorney who said the previous owners were the original owners of the car. The husband had the car restored, and passed away not to long after. The wife gave the car to the attorney to settle fees. The milage is thought to be original at 53,000. I have the build sheet, and the copy of the original window sticker. Here are the options: Cordova Top Turbo Hydra-Matic Radio-Am Pushbutton Rear Seat Speaker Headlamp Covers- Retractable Seat Belts- Custom Wheels- Rally II Console Power Sterring- Wonder Touch Power Brakes- Wonder Touch Glass- Soft Ray- All Windows Floor Mats- Fronr- Pair Color- April Gold- White the car was delivered to Seifert Pontiac-Cadilac denver colorado. The car starts and drives nice, sounds good. Has the his/hers shifter by Hurst. This was the last year for this option. Dome light works, as does small light by radio with switch. Headlights still work on the retractable vacume unit. Pretty cool to see them still work. Speedometer still smooth, and aftermarket gausges under dash-great oil pressure. Trunk has a factory mat, spare and jack cover. The floors are super solid and clean. The drivers side had a patch panel put in, and passender side had a 1/4 panel at some time. Endura bumper is very smooth. Hood shuts nice and tight. Things I know that dont work-radio. Things I know not original-has msd box, and Edlebrock carb, and the fan, dash pad, and steering wheel cover. I do have another fan, and a rochester carb off of a friends car, with correct pontiac front fuel inlet, and was running good, but this is still working fine also. Transmission pan has a small drip from sitting, and may need pan bolts re-tightened. I did buy another gasket incase. All the glass is super clean, like new. I really think these are the original miles on the car. The floor mats even look like they were stored, and put away, as i think they are gm mats. Tires are in great shape, as the build sheet called for G70x14 white-wide ovals. Correct white top. I have taken the car to 3 shows, and a few cruise nights, but my daughter just graduated from high school, and is heading off to college, costing a little more than thought, and no one really wanting to go to the shows anymore. I still have my 55 chevy, and 31 ford to play with, and am wanting to get back in a ww2 jeep again for me. This car, the 1968 GTO was voted Motor trends car of the year in 68!!! I have seen some pretty ratty, non numbers cars bring over the 10k mark on some occasions, and nice non-matching cars in the mid teens. This is a #'s matching 400 350 hp car. The car is fun to drive, good tires, working heat, wipers, and clean!!. I try and describe my cars with the knowledge that I would like to know about if i were buying it, not some 2 line description.
