Up for auction - This 2000 Monte SS was purchased at an insurance auction as a salvage title vehicle due to "interior burn". The interior burn consisted of the front edge of the driver seat (pictured). Subsequent damage - The pos battery cable was cut to prevent electrical fire reigniting in the heated seat, though there is no electrical shorting or meltdown evident. I spliced the battery cable together and the car started right up. I've been driving it for a week now without any trouble of any kind. Everything (including the power seat) works as it should on the car. The car gets well over 20mpg in all around driving. Other than the seats cosmetic condition, the interior shows normall wear for the age of the car, the headliner panel's a little weak. Body is very straight, repaint is high quality two stage black, wheels are all free of rash, tires are ok, brakes are great, but front rotors could be turned or replaced. 3800 Engine/transmission are smooth and free of leaks or smoking. Overall a very good looking drivable car that needs to have the seat repaired or replacedand brought through inspection to be registered. Please check your states requirements for inspections of rebuildable salvage title autos prior to bidding.
