For your consideration I am pleased to offer this low mile 2007 Honda CBR1000RR Motorcycle This street bike has only 117 original miles since new! This bike was purchased for a young rider who took it onto gravel at low speed and put it over, doing some cosmetic damage to the plastic and pegs on the right side. According to insurance regulations, the bike had to be totaled. The bike was bought back from the insurance company and delivered to a very reputable motorcycle shop in Maryland. Everything was disassembled and the bike was inspected for structural damage and found to be free of any defects other than cosmetics. Almost $2000 was just spent replacing almost all of the plastics on the front and right side, including: New Rear Cowling New Front Fairing New Right side Fairing New Right Turn Signal Assembly Parts, labor, and inspection totaled $1937 at this shop alone, and the bike just passed Maryland State Inspection on May 6, 2010. If you are from Maryland, the bike is inspected, and the title is clean. All you need to do is apply for tags and the bike is on the road. Additional items were replaced: New Ignition lockset New accessory locksets right foot-peg other misc. items There is one plastic vent cover on the right side rear cowling that was not included with the new cowling and was not needed to pass inspection. This is a common low dollar part that any dealer can provide for you. The one on the left was still on the cowling that was removed, so it was re-installed. The bike was required to have the title re-issued as a "salvage rebuild", even though only cosmetic items needed to be replaced. The title is free of any liens or incumberances. Several items have not been replaced and still show signs of the bike being over. These include the right mirror, lower right plastic skirting, right handlebar end, and other minor scratches, all of which I have photographed and are clearly shown. There are no other items that I know of that have not been addressed in this listing (no hidden surprises). The bike starts up right away and runs and rides like new. If that bothers you, please do not bid. Being the winning bidder does NOT give you the right to negotiate. If you need to get a loan, there is probably not enough time to make it happen before the auction ends, so please do not bid. If you have been pre-approved and are only waiting for the right vehicle, then please contact me first and I will contact your financial institution to see if I can work with you. If you would like to inspect the bike, it must be done PRIOR to you placing a bid. The bike is for sale locally, and the seller reserves the right to end the auction and cancel all bids without notice. Bidders with less than 10 feedbacks must make contact prior to bidding or risk having their bid canceled. Bidders who retract their bid will be blocked from further bidding. There is no Buy-it-Now price, however, if you would like to make an offer, I am willing to listen. These bikes are 12k new, and reasonable offers will be entertained. I have started the bidding very low to encourage people from all locations to be involved in the auction. Even with shipping costs added in, this bike represents a very good deal for the winning bidder. As for shipping - I can recommend a shipper, or I can possibly deliver it regionally myself. If you are a resident of Maryland, you will be issued the title and inspection certificate when the bike is paid in full, at which time you can obtain tags and drive the bike home. You can also bring tags with you if you have a transport tag. I will work with you however I can within reason, but the bike will not move until all funds are in my possession and have cleared my financial institution. This means that personal or company checks will be held for a FULL 14 days prior to releasing the bike. If you are sure that the check is good, then please cash it yourself and bring cash.
