Normal 0 Up for auction is a very nice 1970 Cadillac Coupe Deville Convertible with 67,000 miles showing on the odometer. This was just consigned from a private collector here in Cleveland, Ohio. The 472 c.i. engine runs nice no smoke or apparent leaks. It was just driven 40 miles to my location for this auction. The Caddy runs and drives nice, steering track is straight, does not pull when braking, shifts nicely without any noticeable slipping. The straight shiny exterior is Lanai Green Metallic with comfy white leather interior. The owners have stated the following… They are the 3rd owners, and they purchased the car from the nephew of the original owner a few years ago. They were told that it has never been driven in the winter. They also stored it the during the winter months and have not driven it much since they purchased it. Everything works including the power top and all windows. The body is straight and free from dents and rust. The nice original seats are a bright white, soft and comfy, no rips or tears but do have some age showing. Some of the plastic trim on the seats has some areas of minor discoloration. The black dash and wood grain trim are in nice shape along with the black carpeting. The original convertible top is nice and white, operates freely, no rips or tears, glass window is free from defects, and comes with the matching padded boot. The top is showing a bit of age around the edges but overall in nice condition. The only repair work done under the current owners was to replace the front springs. The car could use a tune up since it has not driven much in the last few years. A few items I observed prepping the car for auction are… new tires were installed in the past, new upper and lower radiator hoses, new belts, the tilt telescoping steering wheel is nice and tight and operates as expected, the floor pans and trunk are in solid condition with just a couple of minor issues where the wheel houses meet the trunk floor, the windshield has a minor 5” crack at the top driver side, the left turn cancel cam is not working, there is some minor pitting on the chrome (a little worse on areas of the bumpers where minor rust is present), there were some minor body repairs performed years ago which are along the bottoms of both fenders, and just in front of the rear quarters and then the entire car was repainted the original lacquer paint. Overall the body is still straight and very nice looking with just the usual stone chips down low and a few imperfections in a few places. The bodywork and paint look to be stable and are not showing any visible signs of major rust, peeling or checking of the paint. There is only 1 set of keys and the owner’s manual is in the glove box. This car is a great cruiser for sunny summer days. It rides very nice and smooth and looks great. It has a very nice stance and looks very classy.
