Thank you. 1984 Porsche Carrera Sunroof Coupe A Superb Highly Documented Survivor. White with Navy Blue interior. Driven An Average of Just 5,022 Miles Per Year One North Carolina Owner for 22 years, 1987-2009. Never Driven in Snow and on Salted Roads. Absolutely rust free! Always Well Maintained (documented). Other than the contemporary radio this Carrera is unmolested and is documented to have been very well maintained throughout its life. It will be delivered to the new owner with the original Owner’s Packet containing the owner’s manual and other material. The original Warranty book is included. It is stamped with the original Porsche Audi dealer’s Delivery Inspection Stamp on the day of delivery, December 31, 1984. It is also stamped with maintenance stamps from 1987 to 2001. There are a few Porsche Audi dealership stamps, including the 30,000 mile major service stamp in 1987, and the rest are "The 911 Shop" Charlotte, NC, and dated from 1990 at 54,571 miles to 2001 at 116,842 miles. The car also comes with maintenance invoices from 1997 to present. You will also receive a clean CarFax Report dating back 17 years to 1993. And, as you can see here, a clean AutoCheck with an over the top 77 rating. The autoCheck report dates back to 1996. PLUS, the documents include an excellent Pre-Purchase Inspection Report performed August 19th, 2009 by CC Eurosports, Greensboro, NC. The car has not been driven 1,000 miles since. The buyer at that time (only the 2nd owner since 1987, if not before), an attorney in Alabama, had been searching for a quality Carrera for months and found this car available in NC. However, since acquiring the car he and his family have had the opportunity to acquire a home they've always admired on a large property, thus ownership of the Carrera was reluctantly relinquished to serve the greater need for a new tractor and other equipment to maintain their new property. Everything works, including the air conditioning which just this month received a major service including a brand new blower motor at JTS Motorsports, Hickory, NC. JTS is a full service shop specializing in Porsche only. Maintenance Highlights over the past 13,000 miles: Major Engine Service at 117k Miles including new Intake gaskets, New Oil Lines, and New Steering Bushing. New Windshield, New Rear Window, New Sunroof Frame and New Headliner at 118k miles. 4 Wheel Alignment at 119k Miles. New Engine Soundproofing at 120k miles New AC Compressor & Dryer at 118k Miles. New AC Condensor at 122k miles. Complete new AC Blower Motor Assembly 5/11/2010 The clutch is very strong with no sign of fade. As mentioned above the maintenance invoices date back to 90K miles in 1997. There is no invoice for clutch replacement but Jim & Tom (a former Indy Car mechanic) at JTS Motorsports drove the car and were confident the clutch has been replaced, probably prior to 90k miles. The car has been pronounced ready to be driven anywhere. The rear Dunlops are 50% tread remaining and the fronts 90%. The rear brakes were just done and the fronts are in excellent shape with at least 70% pad wear remaining. This car does not put out as much as one puff of smoke. The transmission is flawless, even the first gear synchronizer. Downshift into first while still moving, no problem. It starts immediately, growls at idle like only a Porsche air cooled 3.2 liter can, and howls immediately into the high revs when you blip the throttle. Best of all the car drives beautifully! This is a great no excuses no issues Survivor with an originality patina that stirs my Porsche loving soul. This car was not highly detailed, touched up and spit-shined for the ebay photo shoot. No "Armour All" slathered everywhere, no hocus pocus, no smoke and mirrors. What you see is what you get, and what you'll get is one really nice well documented first year 3.2 Carrera. All I did was give it a bath, run a vacuum over the carpet and install new hood and engine lid shocks since the originals were a little weak. This Carrera is a very good, solid operating and performing car offered well below what it was worth a couple years back and what it will be worth once more given a little time. TERMS: The Buyer must please conclude the purchase in full and have made arrangements to take delivery of the vehicle no later than Friday, May 28th. That is five (5) full business days following the conclusion of the auction. If the Buy It Now option is selected concluding the auction early the purchase must be completed within 5 business days of that date. I do not impose additional documentation fees or collect sales taxes. Taxes, registration and title fees are the Buyer’s responsibility when and where the vehicle is registered and titled. Upon receipt of cleared funds in full the Buyer will immediately receive a properly executed Clear Title, Dealer Transfer of Title and a Bill of Sale in the amount paid. I accept Cash On Delivery (COD) or Certified funds via Direct Bank to Bank Wire Transfer only. Both of these methods facilitate immediate delivery of the vehicle. Sorry, no checks.
