This is a 1953 MG TD . It is a carefully restored example of a popular car that helped define the modern-day term "sports car". A frame off restoration was completed in 2008. Less than 1000 miles have been put on the car since then. The restoration was done by an experienced MG mechanic who has been restoring these cars for 25 years. No detail was overlooked. This is a numbers matching car that has been restored from the plywood in the floor all the way to the piston rings. New leather interior and canopy. The original side curtains plus a new set are included. The new side curtains need to be cut and installed. All hardware & template included for installation. Original steering wheel and King of the Road chrome driving package. "King of the Road" stamp is on each headlight. There are a few small issues: The windshield wiper motor is inoperable. Speedometer jumps around. Odometer & Tachometer works. There are a few minor scratches. Touch-up paint will be included. There's no glove box. The door works but the box part is not there. Occasional oil drip. Same owner since 1989. The car is driven regularly and licensed as a Texas Antique Car. Please contact me if you have questions. Thanks!
