1981 BMW R80 GS! SUPER LOW MILES! THE MOTOR IS NOT LOCKED UP (see video)! NO RESERVE! I am relisting the bike due to the previous high bidder being unable to produce the finances necessary to conclude the transaction. I do have this R80 for sale locally. What we have is a low mile (3423) 1981 BMW R80 GS which we obtained with one other bike (Triumph T120RV) from an estate sale in Denver Colorado. Both bikes belonged to an elderly gentleman who unfortunately passed. This bike was parked many years ago and has not seen the light of day until we obtained it. How you see it in the photos below is how we found it. We were told by the previous owners that the bike did in fact run before being parked. We do have a set of keys for the bike and have tried to start it but the carburetor will need to be rebuilt. We have been working on it and this is where we have stopped. We do not want to sink anymore money in to the bike which is why we have stopped. One more item, from what I have read these bikes were designed by BMW with the Pikes Peak Rally in mind. This bike was not raced in the Pikes Peak Rally. The reason we purchased this bike was because it was offered as a package deal. We bought these two bikes along with a 1956 Corvette. We are muscle car enthusiasts so as you can imagine, we did not want to miss out on the opportunity. We love bikes as well but this one is definitely out of our league. As you will see below, the bike does appear to be in good condition all the way around. After looking over the motor, it does not appear to have ever had any type of leaks or issues. Located below, you will find video. The bike does turn over and has fresh oil in it. The oil was put in by the previous owners. It does not appear to have any corrosion or debris within it.
