Vehicle Detail
Here is a nice 1953 chevrolet two door sedan. It has a good running 235 straight six with a manual 3 speed on the column. This car is very solid in most the places that are usually rotted away. Trunk pan is in great rust free shape with the exception of a couple holes in the corners about the size of a dime. It has brand new front floor pans that have been coated on the top with gray rubber paint as seen in pics. Inner and outer quarters are in excellent shape as seen in the pics with no rust that i found. It has a brand new poly gas tank with new straps, new or newer 14" tires that are knee deep in tread. When the tank was installed the bottom of the trunk pans were undercoated in gray rubber paint. The rust spots that i found i tried to take pictures of them...a spot under the rear window, the bottom of the LH door is gone(RH is solid), usual battery tray, Rh inner rocker panel, and grill bars. This car would be an easy project as it is mostly complete. Parts that are included with the car but not installed are front and rear bumper pans(off of a 1954), better front fender stainless spears, and hood springs. It is a little hard to get started when it is cold because the choke has been taken off the carb but i have one that i will include along with the choke tube. It runs great...specially after it warms up, and it does not smoke or leak oil. It shifts through all gears as it should. I just put brand new bleeder screws in the brakes, bled them and they work great!! It has been converted to 12 volt system with a newer style alternator...not the old generator. The hood came off of a '54 also and has a fresh coat of black primer on it. Glass is all there but some of the flat glass is cracked. I have two extra curved rear windows you can take if you want them. Paint job is good for a driver or great for an old rat rod or vintage build. It is an old amateur paint job that is cracking on the roof and has chips out of it in places. I have not found many...if any spots in the car that have bondo in it. Interior is pretty good for its age, but does show its age with the diamond tuck and pleat pattern. It is nice and clean on the inside but will need a headliner because it looks to be the original one! All the stainless trim is in good shape. This car does have a clear kansas title and will be sold "as is" with no warranties expressed or implied. I have to many projects and just need to move this one to help fund a '46 chevy truck project but feel free to give me a call (316-208-4355...mike) or email me (medwards38@sbcglobal.net) and i will answer your questions to the best of my knowledge.
