Vehicle Detail

This sports sedan is a good running, clean example of its type. I have owned her for about seven years. I have records of the previous work done including new switches in the cockpit, new water pump, timing belt, horn, brakes, crank sprocket and other stuff. I have replaced the rear window regulators and lubed all windows and sunroof wear surfaces. I have replaced the radiator, thermostat, hose, clamps, expansion tank and level switch. Replaced hose on power steering and repaired leaks. Hope I got them all but no guarantees on that one. Complete tune-up with new wires, rotor, cap and plugs ($650. New clutch and slave cylinder (2K) ($1300). New tires (500miles). These tires are 8% larger than stock. They give better gas mileage and improved ride handling and comfort but I had to slightly modify the leading edge rear wheelwell (at the bottom where it juts out)for clearance. I bought a new wheel (visible on right rear) 'cause I wanted a full-sized spare in addition to the emergency spare in the trunk. The gauges look good, nearly new-like. Switches likewise. The factory radio is NF. I cutout the rear deck for 6x9s instead of the 5x7s when I installed an aftermarket system, which I have since removed. So you have two holes there, sorry about that but I can't throw in my Kenwood w/the deal as its much too important to my personal ride energy. I've blanked them with cloth-covered foam and would have installed dummy covers but the locals had none to sell. Installed twin rear antennas which help with poor reception. When I got the car back from the clutch repair the first-second gear synchro was a bit iffy at higher speeds. Shift from a slow first gear and its okay, otherwise you will need to explore the enjoyment of double-clutching, which I do. Or, simply rev up to 5k and skip to third. Most of these miles were highway miles before I got her. I've driven her very little but have found her to be very fun and dependable. The leather interior is in great shape: Excellent actually. The door speaker grilles are cracked. The headliner has a little sag over the rear seats but is held up for the most part. The paint is great on the hood and good on the sides but seems to have what must be cleaning marks on the roof and trunk. The hood was perfect until the detailers bumped their tool and took a few small chips along the leading edge. There are a few spots of rust beginning. One at the rear quarter panel bottom edge, a spot on the windshield edge top, near the wheelwell front left. And a very small ding or two. It looks really good to me however. Windows work, seat motors function, heated seats work last I checked, cruise does not. Turbo has good pep. Runs great, good power, nice ride. I have the manual around somewhere. Oh, and I put a new air filter in; one of those high dollar ones: K&N I think it is. It used almost no oil. I filled with Amsoil 100% synthetic. I'm very meticulous with my mechanical horses. Just changed oil & filter: Amsoil 5-40 synthetic. GOOD LUCK TO ALL. Especially good luck to the new owner, and thanks for your interest. Post questions. This is all true to the best of my knowledge. And it has a brand new battery as of January this year. THIS IS A RESPONSE TO A QUESTION: Surely. I'm pretty sure the original owner was an adult. The car is way too clean to be otherwise. Salesman comes to memory...not certain. No ash in the tray BTW. The second owner I met, very upscale. Nice auto collection. Very responsible. He did all the repairs, was going to keep it, but changed his mind. Even though this was my only car, I didn't go anywhere. I had the company vehicle to and fro and mostly shopped on the way home, so this was weekend driving and not much of that. Hope this helps. Thanks, - joenative
