FOR SALE 1966 CHEVELLE RESTORATION NUMBER MATCHING 4 SPEED V8 30,000 Original Miles ALL Documentation included. One Owner Car Up for sale is a freshly restored one owner vehicle purchased brand new in 1966 from Holiday Chevrolet in San Francisco California. I purchased this vehicle in 2008 from an estate sale. According to the owner, the car was basically used to go to and from the store. Although the car has only 30,800 original miles, it was kept out in the elements which caused fading on the paint and some surface rust. I decided to do a complete restoration on this car and bring it to brand new. Below, I will list what I had done to this outstanding vehicle. This car absolutely runs and drives fantastic. I, with the assistance of professionals restored this car with no expense spared. ABOUT: The Chevelle was introduced on September 26, 1963 as a mid-sized vehicle for the Chevrolet fleet. It was basically a smaller version of the Impala. Muscle cars were associated with small vehicles with low weight and very few amenities but large amounts of horsepower from massive engines. The entire Detroit market had been stricken by creating faster, more vehicles. The Chevelle flirted with this definition but went a step farther and added versatility and convenience. When introduced in 1963, its 327 cubic-inch V8 engine producing 300 horsepower. The Chevelle was built atop a new A-frame platform and had a 112 inch wheelbase. The suspension was unequal-length double wishbones in the front and a 4-link live-axle rear suspension. The vehicle could be ordered in 2 or 4 door body style. The base model was the 300 series while the Malibu SS was the top-of-the-line model. During the 1964 model year, two engine sizes were available, the 283 and 327 cubic inch. Horsepower ranged from 195 through 300 depending on the engine and configuration. Al the stainless steel trim is in excellent condition. The front and Rear bumpers were replaced and in new condition. The glass is all original and in excellent condition, no cracks or chips. All trim pieces, molding and bezels in excellent condition. During the restoration the paint was completely removed down to metal. the body including doors, hood and trunk were all rust free. The back window and front window rail was replaced. Very common areas for rust to accumulate. The doors, front clip, hood and trunk lid was removed during the restoration as you will see at the bottom of this ad.
