This is the best car I have ever owned. I wouldn't sell it for $50,000 if I had the choice. Unfortunately I need the money. If you drive this car, prepare to get a lot of compliments... at stop lights, gas stations, everywhere you take it. The engine is a Big Block 383 and in perfect running condition. I drove this car daily until recently. Almost everything under the hood is still original. The transmission is tip top and the carburetor has just been recently rebuilt. This Newport also has duel exhaust which I believe was an upgrade in 68. These were the original miles I bought the car with. The body is straight as an arrow with a couple minor dings and dents. The paint is beautiful but the clear coat has begun to fade on the hood and trunk. It is a smooth ride with a lot of power. I liken driving it to cruising on a couch through the clouds. Treat it well. I can't imagine anyone not loving this car.
